How does it all fit in the bed folded? Looks awesome btw
Piece of cake! I’ve got a bunch of crap in the bed right now from heading out to the lake yesterday, but I’ll take a picture later. The umbrella comes apart from the main support pole at roughly the halfway point (it’s held together with a
spring-loaded detent button). The specs say that the umbrella is 7.9 feet, so the split leaves each piece about 3.9 feet long.

I suspect that’s right; depending on where you have your bed divider placed. After I get the bed cleaned out and put my bed divider back in, I’ll see what works and make sure to post photos tomorrow.

I found this trailer hitch mounted umbrella that really works with the vibe of our truck.
It was windy our weekend out, and the aluminum eyelets made for easy tie downs.

I see one of your pix with the tailgate down. So there is room. What is the minimum space required in back of the truck for the tent when deployed? If it is 15x9 it seems like at least 10’ would be required, maybe more. If that is the case it wouldn’t work in a parking lot.

Is the question whether this works with the cybertent?
Looks to me like any of them would as long as you don’t use the front awning part

If you are referring to my question it wasn’t about the Cybertent. I go to this parking lot very often that is in the sun. There isn’t much space in front of the truck so I cannot back in and have the tent back there, and there is the normal space in back if I pull in front first so other cars would hit the tent. I would actually be better off with a smaller one of these.

That makes sense. You could also get a cantilever style umbrella and turn it towards the bed. Not a lot of time immediately to find an ideal picture but I mean something like this

Good question. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who recommended options on this thread. Used them to purchase a budget setup I’m quite pleased with.

I had to get the umbrella pole modified (just cut the gussets off the end ) but for about a total of $150 this is my umbrella set up. It is cantilevered and rotates nicely over the bed or behind the tailgate. All I need is some sunny weather.

Ordered a cantilevered umbrella like yours. Thanks for the tip btw.
With the cybertent pitched and the front awning for that set up it should allow me to pivot it out and create a covered “dining area”

Any updates on photos of the umbrella folded in the bed?

I'm looking to purchase the same setup...or maybe get a 10' round market patio umbrella instead of the 13' rectangular one (just bc I may want something a bit smaller and more manageable).

Thanks for posting this. Did you need to use an extender for the Cybertruck?

My 9 foot cantilever umbrella fits easily in the bed with lots of room to spare. (

I have three horizontal panels and an air mattress above it)
