I thought this was pretty cool. I have a 99% FSD with over 2000 miles and see all kinds of interesting and surprising moments but this U-turn on the middle of a bridge, while raining was so smooth. I think I was in Standard mode but the way it slowed down to 6mph without any hesitation got my wife and I looking at each other with big eyes after that moment.

pretty cool - I was in a situation where road work closed one of the two lanes on my side. cones guided traffic to the opposite way travel lane, then back - and the CT navigated it perfectly with no stutters!

It's awesome. I've been in situations where the cone placement was sparse, speed was higher, and the cones weren't even registering on the screen. I was in mad max and thought the truck might try to take the empty lane since it wasn't registering the cones. It stayed in it's lane. Curious how it interprets these situations and how much it relies on human drivers ahead of you.

I was thinking the same thing. It's hard to tell if the truck was just following the cars in front or if it recognized the road closure and, without hesitation, made the u-turn

I gotta say, I was damned impressed with FSD and construction zones. I was driving around Albuquerque yesterday where they had construction going on everywhere (side streets, i25, etc) along with heavy traffic and it navigated it like a champ. The cool one for me was big cones up to the corner of a street. I thought fo sure it would get confused when it had to make a right turn at the end. It navigated through the pinch point of the cones and then made the right turn like a human would. I thought for sure that it would get confused… but it did it better than I would have. I was really impressed. The Tesla SC rep told me if I thought 14.2.2.2 was good, wait until 14.3 (he was beta testing it in his CT). Can’t wait!
