It's not a recall in the regulatory sense because it is not safety nor FMVSS related.Confirmed by engineering in Austin that it is not a firmware problem. This is a recall Tesla is sliding under the radar.
It’s an issue with the board on the inverter of the motor.
Only fix is a front drive unit replacement
