Yikes! My Service center was able to reuse mine. That reduced the cost of the repair by half.
Crazy... I should check to make sure all lights work though.
I should clarify, mine also came loose recently and I had made an appoint for them to reglue the light bar. As far as I know, it's on there pretty tightly, just against a cracked windshield now. Since no one else works on these things besides Tesla themselves, I don't really know how to advise...
Fortunately or unfortunately, I was one of the ones who had the Lightbar installed early on my Cyberbeast.
Not sure how it happened, but something hit my windshield while I was parked and it made two 4-feet cracks on my windshield.
So I now have a repair bill for replacing the windshield, and...
Has anyone had their lightbar installed, re-glued, and then experienced a cracked windshield?
This happened a couple of days ago for me in Georgia. Nothing crazy with the weather, no extreme temperature changes.
CT was perfectly fine in the morning and was parked at home most of the day. When...
I could start a new thread but figured I'd post here first. Have any of you had Tesla fix your lightbar then had your windshield crack? The oddest thing happened today. This morning, went on a short errand, everything was fine. Came back to the truck 7 hours later and I find 2 somewhat parallel...
I'm not sure if the setting is new, but we now have the option of opening just the driver door only vs. the entire vehicle when walking up to it. You may need to see if this was enabled for your vehicle or just toggle it to undo that setting.
Maybe try resetting the vehicle too if that alone...
My service appointment finally came and went. They were able to fix my lightbar glue issue within 3 hours vs. needing to hold it overnight for the glue to set. I'm cautiously optimistic - for now it seems to be sticking to the windshield.
On a separate note, I took mine through the carwash and...
I know the recall is for all, but I wonder if the affected vehicles are the ones who went through the extreme cold.
Side note, as someone who picked up a 34,5XX model back in September, I'm semi shocked we're only up to 46,0XX. Based on Joe's drone videos, I thought we'd be in the 85,000's now...
Is the wiper thing really that annoying? It's different, but I just let it do its thing. This is my first Tesla but I think it's been doing that for years. Unless one of you actually tell Tesla to curb the behavior, it's probably not being updated.
Yeah, it was about 1.5cm off of the windshield on the passenger side when I first saw it. It was being held in place by the wire. I pressed it down a few times, but it keeps popping up.
Annoying cause they had my truck for two weeks - and I haven't even taken it to the car wash since then due...
Check your software via the screen to see if it's already connected. I too took the trim pieces off for the connection and found that it was already connected.
On a separate note, for those with the lightbar installed, has your light popped up from the windshield? Mine is doing that now... not...
I was asking about this on Reddit and someone mentioned the .1 bug fix was only sent out to people running AI 4.1
Do newer CT's have an updated AI/hardware vs. the earlier models?
