Wanted to share our new CyberCamper build out project we finishing up (mostly) last week and is LA Auto Show on display in the South hall.

This CyberCamper build has the following items, in stock, on our website to build out your own set up:

• CTco Snap-on Wheel Caps (FREE on site now for Black Friday)
• CTco 1-2” lift rod kit ($99)
• CTco Billet Mirror Delete ($119)
• CTco Modular Rack System - Bed Topper that has Stainless steel side panels with Dark smoke windows and rear door. ($4400)
• BA Tents CyberCamper Rooftop Tent. The Stainless steel bodied clamshell style rooftop tent has an aluminum composite roof, 2 strut lifted floor panels giving full bed standing access and 9’ height at peak. ($4500)
• CTco Internal Storage System: molle panels, shelves, trays, cup holder, my favorite the table holder and adjustable Molle rail ($59-$1400 as shown)

• Ctco x Baja Designs 8x Linkable light bar on top ($1600)
• CTco x Baja Designs Squadron Fog lights (new, Starting at $429)

We also built first prototype of a rear bench with slide-out fridge slide. We weren’t able to finish it as we want to sell it, but it turned out good for the time we had. Cold food and drinks without ice, Key piece of camp gear IMO.

Total build cost so far is around $20k plus 24hrs labor. For those interested, we have 2 certified, highly experienced, mechanics in our shop now, our hourly rate is $140hr. We buy wholesale parts from Tesla and can handle any repair or service you need.

We just put Chase lights on a sport rack yesterday on a truck we wrapped Red. It looked pretty awesome. I’ll take some pictures and post them next few days.

Yes, the bed has two doors that fold upward so you can stand an unobstructed in the bed of the truck.

Really like the table storage. Great add to the setup. From camping to a place to work from other than the bed gate. White powder coat smart. Dark caves are hard to work in when everything is all black even with lighting.

How big of a hop up into bed? Consider myself pretty gymnastic . Step stool needed?

Using the bench, it’s no problem. Without it it’s just a little jump put your hands on the edge, easy.

I like your builds but would love one where you can fold the tops to match the lowered tail gates for sleeping inside the bed (without a tent). I would love a secured sleeping area inside the metal cage/walls when the tail gate is folded down as I'm 6 feet tall and not comfortably fit with the tail gate up.

How does it affect range?

Good question it cost about 10 to 12% of range so the best I ever saw before was maybe 280 miles and now it’s doing 250 miles. From my use case it’s not a problem it gets you to the desert and off Roading and back home with juice to spare in San Diego.

I saw somewhere where somebody thought shorter rack had less aerodynamic drag, but once you add any tent to the top of that to make it useful, it changes that scenario dramatically as all of the rooftop tents on the market are very square and taller than the 4 inch aero wedge shape developed. In addition to that the rear deflector we added the tent, helps as it does with other SUVs.
