Actually, let me ask the whole bunch of you here: What do you think about my plan to drive to the University of Vermont tomorrow to see my daughter in a CYBERTRUCK is that just asking for trouble? Should I take a different car or should I not give into the paranoia. TIA
Good question! Three things:
1)Ask God!
2)Ask your daughter.
3)Go with your gut.

That symbol that they wrote on his door is actually the Buddhist symbol of harmony, peace and well-being. (lol) The Nazi symbol is rotated 45 degrees and kind of look like intersecting SS not ZZ as they are facing a different direction.
It's also the Navajo and Hopi sacred symbol called the "Whirling Log", which is a symbol of good luck, well being and protection.

While many have recently learned about the Buddhist history (some of it coming from very specific talking points). Few know this! Kudos.

Awesome answer. And I agree✅✅✅ it’s just I’m going there to watch my daughter sing? with her band? like I don’t want that to overshadow her night?. she’s doing an open mic and she’s a Dead Head and she loves the CYBERTRUCK . You know which is weird ?‍♂because she sees both sides she knows ✅she’s smart enougTo figure out the dichotomy.
If she likes it, take it.
They’re both Jewish. His lawyer has already stated that the charges have been dropped in the article.

He wrote a message on someone’s car in dust. This is a trespass to chattel. The monetary value of this type of trespass is typically set at $1 signify that yes, there was a trespass, nominally, but … let’s keep our wits about us!

There’s no permanent or actual harm to the property, this is no different (from a physical insult standpoint) than somebody writing “wash me” on your car in the dirt.

Hate crime? C’mon! He didn’t imply that the owner was a Nazi or worse draw something disparage or domain the owner. He, unlawfully and tortiously wrote his opinion about someone else being a Nazi on the side of someone else’s car.

He had no right to do it, it was wrong. He was detained and questioned and probably will think about it more carefully in the future.

And that’s about all that should or will happen.

The world has already tried a legal code where “death” was the punishment for just about every crime/insult. It worked so poorly that the man who came up with/and implemented it, Draco, has not only been made into a Harry Potter villain, but you know his work because every time you’ve heard the word, “draconian” that that’s what it’s referring to!! Over-the-top, outrageous, unworkable!

Some of you guys are a little bit too sensitive, and I think caught up in your own political distortion field.
Ok. Well that's good. I thought the guy just drew the symbol backwards by accident but it sounds like you are saying he is pro Elon for putting a buddhist symbol under his name? Don't know what you mean by political distortion field. I'm looking at this as a pattern of Tesla's and chargers being vandalized. It that's not the case here then that's good. But like you said not a good idea to touch what is not yours especially given what is happening with Teslas.

I am sorry but even the Youtuber make comments like Herr Musk and Adolf Musk. it goes back the the misinterpreted "Hi" sign Musk did at the rally. Its a horrible insult to Musk in no way would ever align himself with the Nazi moment. Even Germany revoked all the Iron Cross Metals given out during the war and replaced them without the Swastika in the middle. So yes writing that is the dust is uncalled for and is a hate crime to me just as much as writing N@##$! on someone car. And it its dirt it probably scratch it in the SS Panel and will need to polish it off. Just like writing "Wash Me" on someone windows can scratch the glass permanently. So Yes, it needs to stop.

The only flip off I received this weekend was from a Subaru driving look at you next Tuesday.
I live in Massachusetts and it’s almost becoming so bad I’m thinking of selling the truck in fear of my family’s safety. I can’t drive a mile without getting the middle finger and people literally screaming out the window “Nazi!”. It’s sickening that there is that many deranged people out there.

Here is the definition of hate crime:
“A hate crime is a criminal act committed against a person, group, or property that is motivated by bias or prejudice based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or disability. These crimes can include acts of violence, threats, vandalism, or harassment. Hate crimes are often treated more seriously under the law due to their impact on both the individual victim and the broader community.”

Is this a serious question?

It's a free country, take whatever (legal) vehicle you want. Only a spineless person would let mentally ill weirdos and freaks determine which car they drove.

I am in Maryland and I see middle fingers regularly. This morning I was on my way to trade in my Cybertruck for a BMW M8 (I already signed the purchase agreement). I turned around, drove home and canceled the transaction. Reason: the truck is just great and this too will pass. I am currently at 0.025 mf/m (middle finger per mile) .

Agree. There is difference between vandalism, even if politically motivated, with a hate crime or domestic terrorist act.

Why do I doubt this was done to wish this person peace.

Driving mine to Philadelphia in a few weeks. It'll be interesting to see how it is received in a blue city. Pepper spray will be in hand.

How much was the offer for the trade?

Respectfully — considering the individuals involved charges will more than likely be dropped.
You're right, but at least he was arrested and processed, which isn't fun, and his car was probably impounded since it was in a bike lane. He'll have to pay his lawyer a lot of money and appear in court. I doubt he will think it was worth the effort.
