That symbol that they wrote on his door is actually the Buddhist symbol of harmony, peace and well-being. (lol) The Nazi symbol is rotated 45 degrees and kind of look like intersecting SS not ZZ as they are facing a different direction.

They’re both Jewish. His lawyer has already stated that the charges have been dropped in the article.

He wrote a message on someone’s car in dust. This is a trespass to chattel. The monetary value of this type of trespass is typically set at $1 to signify that yes, there was a trespass, nominally, but … let’s keep our wits about us!

There’s no permanent or actual harm to the property, this is no different (from a physical insult standpoint) than somebody writing “wash me” on your car in the dirt.

Hate crime? C’mon! He didn’t imply that the owner was a Nazi or worse draw something to disparage or demean the owner. He, unlawfully and tortiously wrote his opinion about someone else being a Nazi on the side of someone else’s car.

He had no right to do it, it was wrong. He was detained and questioned and probably will think about it more carefully in the future.

And that’s about all that should or will happen.

The world has already tried a legal code where “death” was the punishment for just about every crime/insult. It worked so poorly that the man who came up with/and implemented it, Draco, has not only been made into a Harry Potter villain, but you know his work because every time you’ve heard the word, “draconian” that’s what it’s referring to!! Over-the-top, outrageous, unworkable!

But you are correct! I was startled a couple years ago when I spent a month in Himalayas and Boy during election time there’s a lot of swastikas ?????️? one candidate had his picture and the outline and other words the frame was all Buddhist symbol?
but even more interestingly, I went around and asked the people in the village if they knew of Adolf Hitler or a sinister meaning to that and they did not. They did not know either. ?

We’ve discussed this before as a Taoist/Buddhist priest through my kung fu tradition. That symbol is ancient and predates most religions that actually use it. It has many meanings historically but they all boil down to creation and natural cycles. Reversing it was intentional and depicted destruction.

But, we’re doing politics, now so we need to change course.
