Hope this doesn't get me dinged since it is not a Cybertruck question!

So for the second time in two years, I've defrosted my 2018 model S in pretty cold weather in Virginia (today in the teens) and it has completely cracked the windshield. I don't believe there were any flaws in the first windshield a couple years ago, and the two cracks originated in the center of the windshield down by where the heater is (one on each side). So, at that time, Tesla insisted there was already a chip in the windshield that caused the crack. Some tech came out, glanced at the windshield, pointed to a couple places and said it was already damaged. No tools, no nothing. Just not their problem. I disagreed but what can you do?

So, tonight same story. Defrosted the car. Cracked windshield, originating down by where the dash heater pumps out heat to defrost the windshield. Runs all the way up to the top of the passenger side. There was nothing before I defrosted. I'd be willing to bet Tesla is going to pull the same crap as two years ago.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? The process was so desultory last time, I don't have much faith they're going to take any responsibility this time.

Sounds like they need to tell their defroster to relax a bit. Any way to do that? I’ve never used it. I live in TX and park in a garage so never needed it.

My model S did the same thing. Defrosted it very cold conditions. started driving and the little bit of snow one the hood, blew on to the windshield and it cracked.

Hopefully soon it will be “Ara, tell the defroster to relax a bit and then pull up the menu for the Tesla diner, tell em to make me one of them chicken sandwiches in the Cybertruck box. We’ll be there when? 20 minutes? Message @ABILISK and @That Beast Mode. Tell them the fate of the world is in their hands. Ask if @That Beast Mode can come up with some sort of visually spectacular interpretation of that idea.
keep it wry and witty. And once you’ve done all that find me a sweet Thai restaurant. Dig through @dalton108 messages for recommendations. That dude knows his shit.”

Just got the holiday update. Haven’t taken it out yet. I think it just does nav for now but hopefully they replace the entire voice command thing with grok soon.

But then there's the risk of:
"Ara, make it warmer."
"No."

Or maybe:
"Ara, make it warmer."
<pause>
"OK, navigating to Florida."

My 2 months old cybertruck windshield was cracked by the defrost heat to the windshield from defrost fuction and the crack is right at the heat line but the service denied the responsibility from tesla design and blamed everything to a tiny chip which is far away from crack site and won’t cause crack in any other type car. I am a tesla driver since 2018, customer was cared at that time, but getting worse and worse. Very disappointment
