Anyone else noticed there are almost no cybertrucks on inventory available anywhere?

New delivery times now estimate 8 to 10 weeks for delivery.

Something is going on: either some changes to the production line or the new battery that has been talked about last year?

I don't think it's the dry cathode battery, Elon was pesimistic about it on the last investor day. Maybe a new battery chemistry?

What do you think is going on?

saw that today too. it was 3-5 weeks for a few months prior, up to and including last week. checked today and it now says 8-10 weeks. either switching assembly lines over or a new refresh for January

California has a lot of demo Cyberbeasts in inventory -- but not much else.

I just checked Tesla Inventory for "all deliverable" Cybertrucks in California, using Los Angeles (southern CA) and Fremont (northern CA) zip codes. Results were the same for both zips:

- 3 new RWD CTs
- 54 demo Cyberbeasts
- 0 AWDs in inventory

Confirmed estimated delivery time of 8-10 weeks.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

My guess is it’s just selling better. We’re through the first two stages.

I bid 45K to have a spare!
Sorry, the cheapest RWD Cybertruck I can find in Tesla inventory is a demo unit priced at $69,440 in Savannah GA. That may not seem much lower than the base price of $69,990, but it includes the Cyber Wheels and AT tires, so it's actually $4,050 off.

OP is right, 8-10 weeks

My guess is change to 4680 NC20 batteries in the Cybertruck for:
+45 miles of range or 385 miles
and price reduction of AWD to $68K, Beast to $104K with Luxe Package
skipping the Beast for lowest cost interest by the masses
$68K AWD for 385 miles is compelling

late 2026 Cybertruck with 4680 NC30 will provide 445-450 miles of range
$68K AWD for 445 miles of range is very compelling

Love my CT for now

If those predictions come true I would "upgrade" from my FS in a heartbeat. I would love more range on my AWD

I don't know exactly what is going on. But it may not be something new. Over the past year, the production of "expensive" Teslas (Model S, Model X, Cybertruck) has been falling consistently, quarter after quarter.

Tesla doesn't break out the production by model, but they do provide quarterly production totals for the S/X/CT combined. The S/X/CT are listed as "Other Models" in the Production & Delivery Press Releases here. For the past several quarters, combined S/X/CT production looks like this:

3Q 2024: 26,128
4Q 2024: 22,727
1Q 2025: 17,161
2Q 2025: 13,409
3Q 2025: 11,624 (so down 55% from 3Q 2024)

We should get the 4Q 2025 number in about a month, on January 2, 2026. It wouldn't shock me if the number falls again.
