Bit the bullet and paid scalper prices.... Wheel Cover FOMO content

I pretty much have this truck where I want it in terms of looks. The wrap, window tint, blue front light strip, white seats, etc all look great. But the wheel cover FOMO has been killing me. I talked to my service rep again yesterday and no ETA for me (FS, August delivery).

I ended up reaching out to our local CT FB group and found someone who just received their truck, willing to sell at the going rate. They are in perfect shape and I'm super happy with the look.

Was this a good decision? In the long run, absolutely not ? but I'm happy and my truck will look great for its photo session next week. Of course, now I need Foundation decals!

That's Tesla Shop price... of which they are perpetually out of stock. I paid eBay/Marketplace prices which is typically 3x that.

So you paid $900 for something you’d eventually get for free? To each their own, they look cool I suppose. I’m more into functionality. Wheel covers are evil. They cover valve stems, dig into sidewalls of tires, and can come off while off-roading. Everyone should be rocking center caps.

No way, it’s the easier car to wrap ever. Anyone paying $2k or above is being robbed.

You must be talking about vinyl. You can't even buy the material for $1000 if you're talking about PPF. Any installer willing to wrap your truck for $1000 including material is either a hack or completely desperate. A quality PPF wrap with a great warranty and customer service will run $5.5k - $7k depending on your market. But if you can find someone to do it for that, go ahead and roll the dice. Cheap rarely means value.

Love the color you picked, what is it called? The covers look awesome too.

Thanks its called Cosmos Pink metallic from KPMF. It's a vinyl wrap, my first time doing it myself but it came out pretty good. Next time I will go with a colored PPF but at the time no one offered the color I was looking for in a PPF.
