Both my cars are downloading something this morning
Mine Downloaded and installed overnight. Haven’t driven the truck yet.
UPDATE:
just returned from a local drive.
1. the Santa upgrade is awesome. See rtfitch- he nailed it!
2. drivability- don’t see any obvious differences. Maybe on a longer drive.- still misses more than half the speed limit signs. I had to disengage a dozen times for speeding in sloth mode due to incorrect speed in the system in my neighborhood.
3. still has TERRIBLE speed management. Too fast, too slow and no way to precisely control the max speed. Scrolling speed profiles is not nearly as good as when I could set the max speed with a roll of the scroll wheel and then let it drive. No more. It’s a definite downgrade for me- requires FAR MORE intervention and leads to less pleasant. FSD. I hope a future update returns max speed set to the scroll wheel because it just is not as good anymore (for me).

Really strange my cybertruck was downloading the latest software yesterday but it looks like it never completed the download/install. Any recommendations on how to fix this? When I woke up this morning, I didn’t see the newest software installed, and I do not see the notification to re-download it again.

It was the worst of times. It was the best of times.

Brutal weather here in the mid-Atlantic overnight. Ambient temps in the teens. But high, sustained winds producing wind chills near zero.

I spent my night getting up every hour to run water through the pipes. The winds made it possible, if not likely, that we might lose power. Lose power and those pipes are done.

I bumped an extra 15% charge into the Cybertruck, backed it up next to the house, and connected the 240v outlet in the bed to the well's transfer switch on the other side of the deck.

I have a very nice 7kW gas generator out in the shed. But it's a ton more work to set up, and world's more fiddly, than the CT.

Karma is like everything else in this world. Give it a little smile, and a little gesture of hope, and it usually smiles back.

The power stayed on. And this morning, in that magic hour when darkness slowly releases its hold, pink tendrils of light slowly beginning to peek through the trees... came 2025.44.25.5.

For the best vehicle ever.

Guys and Gals,

Ms. Claus and I are absolutely rolling on the floor laughing and loving the latest updates to Santa Mode. Yesterday morning—on our way to the workshop for a full day of spreading holiday cheer—we experienced the new update for the first time, and from the Claus perspective, the refinements are outstanding.

A few highlights from the sleigh seat:

1.) Speed-limit sign poles are wrapped in classic red and white with a bow… but we briefly noticed a 20-mph sign sporting icicles. (Chill? ā„)

2.) Traffic lights are now adorned with a Star of Bethlehem on top, a bow on the bottom, and snow resting on each individual light cap. It’s festive without being over the top—just right.

3.) The reindeer (aka other vehicles) now have MOVING feet. No more sliding, slipping, or skating—those hooves actually move, and it’s a trip to watch.

4.) And the biggest update of all… Rudolph’s red nose is BACK!
Yes—the driver’s-side reindeer once again sports a big, beautiful red LED nose. The planets are back in alignment, harmony is restored, and Cyber-Rudolph has officially returned. For the Claus family, this might just be the best Christmas present ever. I chuckle every time I climb into Blitzen.

Even better, the truck now recognizes and remembers the name we lovingly gave our Cyber Sleigh—Blitzen—and responds smoothly and politely. It’s grounded, helpful, and a genuinely nice complement to the driving experience. Talking sweetly to Santa is far more productive than anything else… especially when Ms. Claus is aboard. šŸ˜‰

And one last thing for you city dwellers:
Earlier versions of Santa Mode had a hidden feature you might not have noticed. Vehicles are reindeer, people are elves—but did you know that real, honest-to-goodness deer are identified as… drum roll please… DEER?

We have plenty in our neck of the woods, and every single one shows up correctly on the display. It absolutely cracks my 92-year-old mother-in-law up every time.

Many thanks to the Tesla Team for the frosting on the cake that makes being part of the Tesla ecosphere such an uplifting and joyful experience.

Great job, folks… Ho Ho Ho, and Merry Christmas! šŸŽ„āœØ

Anyone's FSD v14.2.1.25 is acting crazy? The navigation would route me one way but FSD would not follow the initial directions šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø. Now, it will take me to the nearest coffee shop like Dutch Bro's parking lot across the street from my intended destination of Planet Fitness and I absolutely hate DB:cautious:

Try a reset by pressing down on both scroll wheels at the same time, let the system reboot and most of the time that would resolve the software issue. You will then be back on queue to get the OTA updates again. Good luckšŸ¤ž

I got it last night, but for some reason the Tron light cycle lock sound doesn’t show up in the boombox except for when I’m in Tron mode. Has anyone had a similar issue and found a resolution?

Try doing a reset (depressing & holding down both scroll wheels at the same time until the screen goes blank), see if that helps. I'm able to use the Tron lock sound outside if the Tron Mode.

Strange… I tried resetting a few times now and still no dice. Only the standard lock sounds are available to me outside of tron mode. Software version is 2025.44.25.5

:unsure:May have to reload the software. This can be done under the Service tap.

Got the update but, my Tesla phone app on Android hasn't updated. Cannot use photo booth or other new features. Anyone with Android having this issue? Playstore says I've got latest version though not the app version i need.
