Charging to 100% isn't the problem (yes, it's relatively slow at the Supercharger , but if you're doing it at home it's not any slower). The problem is leaving it charged at 100% and having the car sit at 100% for an extended period of time. You're only supposed to charge it to 100% if you're...
Let's face it, having that wiper in the up position like that is stupid. They should've designed a way to have it retract to a horizontal position while also varying its length.
Mercedes did something like this in the 90's even on their cheapest C-class vehicles. There was just one wiper...
To me it looks like it's gonna take a redesign of the gas pedal to fix. What are they gonna do, put some double sided sticky tape on it and call it a day?
How much TSLA stock do you own, bro?
Tesla just laid off 10% to 20% of their workers. Do you think upgrading Superchargers to 800V just for CT owners is gonna be a priority anytime soon?
Let's not forget that this was initially supposed to be a $50K-60K truck, now they're selling for $100K-120K. So I would expect a lot of cheap plastic interior parts like this failing. Don't let the inflated price fool you into thinking you're buying quality.
Probably just excess glue for holding the "white interior" panel to the door. If you look at the Youtube video where they repair a bullet hole in a Cybertruck door, you'll see that white fake leather material is just wrapped around a black plastic piece. The only thing holding it together is glue.
What's with the "customer states" shit? That implies you're just making it up.
I thought only passive aggressive service writers at dealerships used that phrase.
So if there isn't enough room for a second layer, I would guess no capacity upgrade until taller cells are available which will take a while. In that case I wouldn't hold my breath for a 500+ mile CT anytime soon.
EVs have plenty of hoses for battery cooling and cabin HVAC. The CT has a heat pump behind the frunk.
So the truth is EVs are the worst of both worlds. Electronics go out early, but then mechanical stuff like hoses, cooling fluid pumps and heat pumps breaks 10 years down the road.
Cool, but I wonder why Tesla hasn't come up with their own. Do they expect people to drive around with exposed/rusting wheel hubs until the new redesigned wheel covers are available?
This. The Range Extender was just a ploy to get people to buy the early CTs with the battery pack half empty.
"A short video on the Munro Live channel showed what's inside the pack. One of the most obvious things we see is a lot of empty space, possibly for a second layer of cells. If this is...
Yeah, I think this is the most likely explanation. Another would be a solar panel in the bed.
I just don't see induction charging going anywhere in the next 5 years. When you're moving that much energy, even a 7% loss is a lot.
Aha, so that's why when the Model 3 came out, they promised free hardware upgrades for people who paid for FSD upfront.
Unfortunately with FS CT it may be a repeat of the Model S story. By the time FSD comes out for it, the hardware could be totally inadequate.
