Two years already!

Man, those first few months after release were really something, weren't they? All that excitement and anticipation. Watching Joe Tegtmeyer's drone videos of the outbound lots at GigaTexas, hoping to see more CTs. And then the first weeks after taking delivery, learning about the truck and all the amazing features. I'd just sit in it in the driveway, cranking tunes to enjoy the sound system.

Then having to live through the march of morons... "it'll brick in a car wash"!, "they're already rusting", "the headlights don't work", "the back falls off if you try to tow anything", "it was only an 1/8th mile drag race towing a porsche, so the truck really isn't that fast", ...

Then... Elon giving his heart to the crowd.

Having a CT is a never ending roller coaster of misguided public opinion.

I see it slightly different.

Having a Cybertruck has helped me identify the unstable people in the area. It's a portable moron detector.

Well, I'm coming up on 2 years also but I'm going to have a different response this truck cannot be driven in cold weather The wiper is absolutely f****** useless. The PCS should not have went bad.

Been driving in -20s for the past week and using the wiper plenty. While it's not perfect, it does the job. Just got back from an ice fishing trip up in northern MN about 3 hours into the middle of nowhere and had no issues. What issues are you dealing with?

two inches of ice on the wiper, every 20-30 minutes.

I don’t live in an area where is snows but have towed our trailer to the mountains several times and didn’t find the cold was a huge issue. However, I only had to deal with it for a week at a time. There are some things I wish were better like rattles and squeaks, also my inverter going out sucked. But hey, it’s a radical new product and I knew that going in. Service was always fine. Truck has had 0 issues in the past year. The first year there were some kinks to work out which they did.

I totally agree. We were the first truck in Northern California (excluding the Bay Area) and didn’t see another one for probably 3-4 months after getting ours. Those first few months were pretty wild.

There is a dedicated defroster for the wiper:

I cannot vouch for its effectiveness, since today is the first time my truck has seen snow and I’m not crazy enough to drive in these conditions.

Just learned something new! I wondered what that control did. Thanks, @CyberGus!

Tesla Cybertruck 2 Years with Cybertruck (New message from Tesla)! 1769406651784-b1

It's on this page of the manual:

https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/cybertruck/en_us/GUID-CFA216A5-F2CC-416F-97E8-8560E0CC4161.html

Grok sez:
This feature activates heating elements embedded in the windshield glass, specifically in the area where the wiper blades rest (near the base of the windshield along the cowl/A-pillar area). Its main purpose is to melt or thaw any ice, snow, or frost that's frozen the wiper blades to the glass, preventing them from being stuck or damaged when you try to use them in cold, icy conditions.

And, just came across this video, which is relevant:

It looks like you didn't have the wiper heater on. That works great. The icon looks like this:

Also, make sure you have warm air (not cold) going to the defroster vents. The defroster has two modes, one blows low humidity dry cold air, the other blows warm air. The cold air mode can cause ice to freeze on your wiper.

Everything was on and on Max. I wonder if the wiper heater is not working...

For what it's worth....and live in Chicago...when I go to precondition my Cybertruck I just use the defrost mode from the app which turns on every single "winter/cold" mode at the same time as well as the max heat climate. This ensures everything is going to be as hot as possible. Works like a charm even though my truck is garaged. I've noticed a big improvement vs just setting heat to "max" from the climate mode in the app. Just my $.02
