Tonight while driving on FSD and turning into a neighborhood FSD spotted this guy and almost came to a stop to let him clear out of the way before proceeding. Just thought I'd share a happy story!

In our Equestrian Community we have deer, lots of deer...imagine that, in Santa's vacation spot. But this past holiday season, while in Santa Mode I noted, and laughed, at the fact that although humans are displayed as elves, deer a displayed...drum roll...as Reindeer. Way cool and yet another hat tip to programers with wit and a sense of humor. Their talent and pleasant input are greatly appreciated.

Love it, same here.. I was watching for deer and didn't even see this Raccoon trying to cross, the truck slowed down and I didn't know why, just enough to safely let him pass.

This is cool but the title implies that had it not been on FSD the driver would have not saved the wildlife

One day on my way home from work in my Model Y (HW3) on FSD I saw a chicken in the middle of the road. It was a rural area so I figured I would see how the car would react so I just let FSD do its thing. At 60 mph, it saw the chicken and went in the other lane to avoid it (of course the car saw there was no traffic so it was safe to do so). The stupid chicken didn't even flinch.

Not necessarily true, but I did not see the racoon as early as FSD did that's for sure because it was in the shadows over the left by the pillars.

Technically yes. Think of FSD as an additional ser of eyes that makes wildlife recognition better and thus your large motorized vehicle less dangerous to wildlife ..
