This broke my cameras.. it says cameras unavailable. Anyone else? Soft reset didn’t fix it, what should I try next?

Edit: seems to have fixed itself after I came back to the car 1hr later

I wish they could offer software updates without killing your battery while you have you vehicle parked at the airport. This is the second time I’m gonna come home to a sub 10% battery because tesla offers a software update while I’m out of town.

Yea you definitely want to set it so it has to request before it downloads.

Is that possible? Mine is telling me to download new update and battery is draining fast while I’m out of town for 5 more days. It looks like it’ll have 8% when I get back. Not impressed with how unreliable my CT has been in this regard.

Turn off sentry mode and overheat protection and stop looking in the app. The update isn't draining the battery, you are by looking at it.

The navigation pin will be adjusted based on the selected Arrival Option.
This would be an epic Christmas gift to me. I park in the rear parking lot of my company's building, so I always have to drive the last bit of my trip to work every day. It always drives to the front entrance. Stoked!

Beware. This update bricked my FSD this morning. I tried restarting the computer, calibrating the cameras, and resetting DAS. Still no luck.
This is why it's a better idea to start firmware updates late at night, so all the modules have a chance to check in and recalibrate (this happens even after the firmware is "done" installing).

Its pretty embarassing when the right lane your driving in is wide open yet you pass someone in the left lane and fsd puts the blinker on and changes into there lane when there is no need fornit

I'm assuming you mean the indecisive nature of lane changes (both on highway and city streets)? If so, I agree. It really causes confusion with other road users.

Another hope I have, but I doubt it's in this fix, is navigation fix. It's route planning is atrocious. There are so many better / easier routes the CT can take without putting itself into unnecessary harms way... yet, it insists it wants to cross a huge artery intersection with a stop sign instead of simply turning onto the artery road earlier. It's path routing / logic is absolutely horrible.

It's "funny" because if you were to tell me two years ago: what's holding FSD back now is the navigation rather than it's maneuverability, I would've pressed "X" for doubt. FSD is now so capable, navigation needs an overhaul.
Huh, now that you say it, I think the navigation data and algorithms could be the root of many problems.

I regularly find myself disengaging FSD or ‘ending trip’ to avoid terrible routing and foolish turns. And the speed limit data is wrong way too often, causing me to disengage way too many times for speeding when it zooms past 30 or 45 in a 15 or 25, or stepping on the accelerator when it suddenly decides to go 30 in a 70. (My new mantra is ‘give me back my speed control wheel’ as I find the speed profiles woefully inaccurate, frustrating, annoying and often dangerous, which translates to far more disengagements and a lot less enjoyable FSD use).

I know Tesla has its own system, but both Google Maps and Apple Maps seem to have way WAY better routing and almost always correct speed limit data. (Yeah, I know almost every post says speed is set by GIS data but then why is it usually right in Google and Apple but wrong in my CT?)

Autonomous driving might be a lot closer if they’d fix the map, routing algorithms and speed limit data. I suspect they‘ve invested a lot of energy getting the maps and speed limits fixed in Austin and SF, so they don’t actually understand the problem outside of their own bubbles, or that not everyone lives in an urban area.

oh good, I hope this fixes my issue where my CT wasn't taking me HOME, and driving up my driveway instead go to the next block over, even though it is the wrong street and attempt to enter from the back side of my lot.....odd. Fingers crossed this solves that since it was working fine before the HOLIDAY update.
