How about the fact that it’s essentially free when you order a FS CyberBeast? However, if I could get a $350 credit instead, I’d honestly take that and buy the divider.
Were it me, I’d sell the “free” Tesla lightbar to someone else and buy a better one that doesn’t affix with caulking style glue. But that’s just me.

Cheers

From what I understand the SC has to install and will not give them to you. Might be messy taking them off to sell.

now that you have the light bar installed, does the image in your app and on the touchscreen in the car show the truck with a light bar on it?

Had a service appointment to replace a tail light, they added a bunch of items to check but said if they just replace the taillight I’d be done in an hour and I can schedule a different appointment for the future as they were not to important.

So I did that and added install Lightbar just to try for my CyberBeast as the appointment was a 1.5 months out.

Service asked if I received notification for my Lightbar install but had it on the estimate with a $193 install charge. Advised them I was not aware of a notification saying it was ready so now I’m back to just waiting and see what happens at the end of the year when I have my appointment.

I will not be paying for them to install something that was supposed to come with the vehicle though.

anybody in Seattle areas has a CT with a lightbar installed? I would love to see in real life how bright is during day time at 1% setting ...
I'm in South Florida, and these were taken a few minutes ago in moderately cloudy skies. This is 1% setting, flood and ditch, but you won't see the ditch lights when straight-on like this. I wouldn't drive with them on during the day regardless since LEO will have a good excuse to stop and or ticket.

P.S. -- Yes, that's a Starlink Mini on my dash, which is how I was connected to the Internet when I posted this message. It works fine through my LLUMAR IRX 50 window tint also.

Has anyone in California had one installed? Seems like FL and TX have priority. Maybe we have more state regulations and hoops to jump through. Thought I read that it’s not technically street legal which is why Tesla doesn’t “completely” install it.

I made a service request for the light bar install in Orlando earlier this week. The next day, I got a call from the service center stating I would get an email when it’s ready and they cancelled my request. Oh well it was worth a shot.

Also shows up in the app!

I absolutely love my lightbar

Even at one percent in the daytime it’s definitely uncomfortable and blinding to look at

I hope they add an icon indicating that the light bar is on

Currently I have to go into the lights or mods menu to see if it’s on or off

AWESOME!

@Guylouis, I took your advice and followed your instructions to the T. Literally cut and pasted the exact wording of the request you recommended into the app.

AND …

They’re currently installing my light bar! The SC only had two in stock and I’m getting one of them now!!! Only happened because of your approach, because I reached out multiple times and was told “sorry dude pound sand!”

Thank goodness I added that to my request because the thing that they were in for, my winter tires, is not happening! For some reason they still don’t have the tires in stock! So this whole thing would’ve been a bust except for getting my wheel covers. I care way more about the light bar right now than the tires which I’m having second thoughts about in the first place. Probably just going to take the wheels and put the KO3s on them that I want anyways (and resell the tires).

Anyways thanks for the great advice, cheers!

I’ll report back on Monday when I get the car back. They seem to be unaware of the new installation guidelines (soldering in the connection and decoupling the other side), so I don’t know exactly what they’re going to present me with in terms of self connecting. We shall see.

Great question!
Someone already answered in the affirmative but just in case you didn’t see it, because I didn’t until recently!

The answer is, yes! Very much, yes!!!

Not only that, but it’s realtime monitored! So, when it’s on- it’s on in the app (and on the touchscreen), and when it’s off -it’s off!

Hey just noting that on my vehicle after my install yesterday, the light bar shown on the screen and app also turns on and off in real time so you can see there whether your light bar is on or not as another data point.
