The Cybertruck Reddit page finally went private. I think its the right move, but annoying that it had to happen.

It will become an even deeper cesspool of falsehoods, ignorance and vitrol. Another dark corner of the Internet where reality has no role.

At least it won't be publicly visible (without joining).

Makes sense. Too many hateful trolls.

Assuming mods on this forum are about to get even busier.

The only reason I frequent this site (which is great) is because the CT sub was bombarded after the delivery event. For the 4 years before that, it was a great place for enthusiasts to share/discuss the limited info we had. The mods are quick to respond and you can likely get approved quickly.

My brain can't wrap around the need to hate on something that you literally don't pay for, or drive.. I am just unable to make sense of it.
Mark my words, someday it will come out that 3/4 of all CyberStuck “users” are bots and the other 1/4 are miserable teenagers stuck in the echo chamber, saving face because they told all their friends they were going to buy a truck they ended up not being able to afford, got their $100 back, and now tell everyone it was the best decision they ever made because it’s a POS anyways. Their friends roll their eyes whenever they obsessively hate on it though, like the one that got away. “I never liked her anyways”

Definitely a lot of bots. Look at any Cybertruck YouTube video whatsoever. It can be on any topic. You’ll see some of the same half thought out comments.

Otherwise, I think we are seeing the mental health epidemic firsthand here.

Happy fulfilled people don’t scour enthusiast forums to try and find ways to make fun of the subject / people on it.

Pro TIP: Do yourself a favor, just delete your Reddit account.
Hard for me to delete what I never had lol. But I did enjoy lurking on that subreddit while waiting for my Cybertruck. Though since I found Cybertruck Owners Club I’ve like this place way more and visited /cybertruck way less.

I would love for some of the CyberStuck folks to come over and post some crap as I would love to engage with them in a real discussion for why all the hate. I personally like their forum because I do find it funny on some of their posts. But a lot of their posts/comments are getting fairly crappy. They even argue with each other about it. A lot of them are SJWs and talk about how bad Elon is. Then they make assumptions that we are "incels" (urban dictionary says its "short for 'involuntary celibate' often built like a discord mod, probably uses reddit"). That to me is rather funny because they seem to fit the definition of an "incel". I think your average CT owner is married and has kids, so the fact they use that term for us is rather comical. They make assumptions on us, and many of them are "anti racist" etc. But the fact they make assumptions on us based on what we drive is kind of "racist", the very thing they are against. They make comments showing prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a group. The hypocrisy is mind blowing.

They had a thread over there recently where they finally came down to saying what annoys them other than the aforementioned info, is that they think we bought it for "look at me" to get attention. It's funny, because I actually choose not to drive it to crowded locations for the very reason that I *don't* want attention. I cannot stand it. Why did I buy it? They got one thing right... I am a tech bro. I love tech. The CT is like driving a computer. I still keep my other ICE trucks because I love driving them too. But the CT is just damned fun to drive and it's a pleasure. Most of those "incels" will never get the opportunity to try it out or experience what it's like. I have had folks who think its ugly get in the truck and go for a ride, then say "Wow... this thing is really cool".

The other thing they like to say is we bought a $100K truck and the truck is a POS and falls apart. Ok. I payed the money. I took the risk. The risk is mine to take. But nobody says a thing when they buy a $800 POS Subaru that is rusted out with 387K miles on it and is likely in the shop all the time. Yes that really is true. You click on their names to get a snap of them and you see them posting in car forums about their POS and how to fix it. Then they come pointing fingers at us for having issues. WE spent that money... WE made that decision, so WTF? The fact that they care how we spend our money is rather comical. They love to say about us that we say "You are just jealous", then they deny it coming up with other reasons for why they hate the CT. From the looks of it, it does look like they are jealous as all fingers surely seem to point towards that. Why do you care what someone spends their money on? They should go look at celebs who piss away their money on the stupidest crap and bitch about that. Ours is only 100K... go watch the celebs who spend that on 1 night at a hotel.

Finally, many of their posts are them hunting for things to post over there to gain some notoriety. They love to come here, do screen shots of our discussions, then post them on reddit with snarky comments. The same folks who complain about us being the "look at me" are the same folks looking for "likes" to get their post higher in the ratings. It seems to me they are more into "look at me". It seems to me those incels have too much time on their hands looking for content to gain notoriety. :ROFLMAO:
