Are you garaging your Cybertruck or keeping it outside?

My garage will fit a CT with about 4 inches to spare (2" in the front, 2" in the back). I'm wanting to keep my 3 & Y for the time being so I will go from 2 to 3 cars.

Should I park my 2018 Model 3 outside or my 2024 Cybertruck?

I'll daily drive the 3 (for efficiency) so the CT would be mostly a weekend car.

My Cybertruck has never seen a roof. We have a one car carport at home (the garage has a motorcycle lift in the middle of it). Two of our Model 3's sit half covered by the carport roof, the Cybertruck lives outside.

No car is better suited to being outside than the Cybertruck. It has no clearcoat to peel, and no paint to fade. The stainless steel has no coating on it whatsoever (and it doesn't need one). It could benefit from a sunshade for the windshield if you live somewhere sunny (to protect the dash and keep temps down).

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking; a sunshade.....a really BIG sunshade. I'll also likely tint the windows for UV/IR protection.

Speaking of which. Is there actually a sunshade for sale that's big enough for the windshield?

Throw a cheap ecoflow with a 800w panel in the back and let it charge itself in all that glorious sun shine ?

I live in the desert regions of southern California, NO ONE buys a car and doesn't uv/ir tint it unless they're new to the area. I've never had AC problems on my vehicles and I think it's because of this. It's a lot less work to keep a greenhouse on wheels cool if the windows block at least some frequencies of UV and IR. Highly recommended ?

I live in the exact area you describe (for the past 2 years) and haven't done that for my existing cars yet.

Oh man, you're missing out! Welcome to the area! If you're parking outside a lot, you'll definitely want to or you'll have dash/seat/trim damage in no time. The other benefit is actually being comfortable BEFORE getting to your destination. Also reduces stress on your AC since it doesn't have to make up for all that energy lost.

You don't need a VL tint to help your AC out.

I'm planning on tinting my CT. It would probably be wise to do the same for my other two cars. I almost never drive at night so tinting isn't a huge problem.

I don't want to tint my CT windshield because that looks like a total nightmare for the installer and it might cause water damage or physical damage trying.

Garage for mine at all times… Not trying to mess with hail during this severe thunderstorm time here in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Someone in Texas already suffered a cracked windshield on their Cybertruck from hail.

Mine is my daily driver, and fits in the garage with about the same spacing as yours between the garage door and the cabinets in front. If you’re only going to drive it on the weekends, I would suggest leaving it outside, leave your daily in the garage, and throw a cover on the cyber truck.

Uncovered outside all of the time attracts way too much dust and grime for me…

Mine'll be outside, as the garage is where the tools go. The wall connector will be outside too. I live in rain country, so I'm assuming they'll all build up a nice protective covering of moss and lichen. I think of it as a textured organic wrap.

I don't do dark tints either. The 70% tint is hardly noticeable, even at night. I can't tell it's there unless I have something to compare it to. The 70% stuff still has incredible (95%ish UV 60%ish IR iirc) rejection.
