Little kids reactions are the best... Excited and curious... WA not a good state for CT's to many Cra cra Libs. In AZ not so bad. Open Carry. Tinted windows... The Trucks are so worth it..... chasing and confronting morons is useless - Funny how they loved Elon and then BOOM hated him and showed its colors Take care..
It’s fun to see the kiddos reactions, looking all 🤩, and a majority of parents with their gaze forward, to avoid looking at the vehicle.

It's been well over a year since I encountered anything negative. Still get the occasional person taking a pic or staring. Or a kid wanting to look at the truck.

The focus of that demographic constantly shifts, so it's not surprising that the hate has diminished. Current target is Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. Cybertruck could come up again if they're told but most likely it will be something else now that Elon is out of the spotlight with DOGE.

That being said, some of those will hold hatred toward this specific vehicle until the grave, so some rare occurrences will surface, but they usually follow their barking orders of what to protest (i.e. riot or become hostile against) and are single threaded in that regard.

Portland area Maine. Got yelled at once and get the finger once in awhile. Otherwise, I get lots of questions and kids like it.

Could you guys just at least add the state you live in? because I’ve had this CYBERTRUCK for three months I’ve had about a dozen interactions all super positive✅. Everybody wants to know about it. I think it’s cool. Never get the finger. Never get people yelling anything, ever! I’m on the coast of New Jersey Monmouth County and reading the comments is like Reading some foreign news. Where do you guys live???? What the hell is the town like that you live in? Sheesh
Binghamton NY, 99% positive 1% A**holes, but I love chasing down the 1% !!!!!!!!

For us CT owners up here in upstate New York, where there are few CTs driving around, I have to schedule at least an extra half an hour for any local trips around here to answer all of the questions I get about "what the heaven are you driving". So I decided to list them on a card that I give out if I'm in a hurry, here it is:
Cybertruck 30 minute dissertation short form;
My 7th and last truck (previous daily drivers, all 4x4 Toyotas starting with the 1979 SR5, last Tundra, a 2014 had 220,000 miles on it), love this beast, is the future, all electric, lightning quick (0-60 2.6 sec), steer by wire progressive steering (full left to right lock 340°), 4 wheel steering (really tight turns), air suspension (17" high setting clearance), regenerative breaking (rarely use breaks), 48 volt low voltage (really small wiring harnesses), Etherloop communication, heavy duty stainless steel body, almost NO maintenance (Tires, wiper blades & fluid is about it), over the air updates, and most importantly gas pickup $60 to drive 250 miles, Cybertruck $19-$22 electricity (400 wH/mile x 250 miles at $.19-$.22/kWh) to drive 250 miles, full slow charge at home 5 hours, full fast charge at supercharger 45 minutes, and Tesla is 10-15 years ahead of everyone else.

This was the cheapest way to get a chauffer for sure, I'm good. :)

The chauffer is still learning in some cases, but I'm happy with it.

I have seen some fingers lately as the moron season is full on at the moment - like you said. But none of them paid for my CT, so they never bothered me.
I was wondering what it's like in Nebraska for the CT. May be coming back that way soon to stay.

It has the typical Midwest blend of blue haired moron city folk (Lincoln/Omaha) and redneck diesel trucks that want to coal you. Fun all around. I can usually tell which diesel is going to try and coal me, they can never keep up though  But the diesel folk don't understand that my truck is also powered by coal.

Edit your card to spell "Brakes" correctly. Other than that, great idea.

LOL. haven't gotten much negativity here. Just two or three middle fingers in a year and a half. When we lived in Papillion, NE, our Model Y was one of three in the area for a bit. Never got anything negative with it. Times were a bit different. People hadn't been told what they should be mad about yet. We enjoyed the 8 years we were there and are most likely coming back this summer for good. Maryland has been nice enough but giving away 3 hours + every day in commuting is not how I want to spend the rest of my working days.

Oh man here in Bozeman Montana it's brutal. EVERY SINGLE TIME I DRIVE, I get a finger or a thumbs down. Bus stops. People walking. Parking lots. Good gref.

I take back roads to avoid the interstate to drive 7 miles to my man-cave since people get next to me and do crazy stuff like that "fun" hand gesture we can't talk about. I am at the end of my rope. My FS only has 5,500 miles because of this. I LOVE this truck but am so tired of being a target for morons. I started calling them betas since they can't seem to think for themselves.

It’s gotten to the point where I won’t even go to trailheads with my mountain bike because I’m worried about potential vandalism. Sure, the cameras will catch them but then what? The damage is done and my heart will be broken once again. I hate having to think like that, but I don’t want to take the risk.

My first Tesla was a 2021 Model Y and when I drove it home from Salt Lake I got similar kinds of crap, just from different people. It's wild how comfortable people are acting like this in public.

It's really surprising to hear this happening in wildly conservative areas. Not sure why..

I was involved in a road rage incident at a stoplight here. Guy slammed his mini van into my drivers side. It ripped the side trim, jammed his side door, smashed in his passenger side. I had it all on video for the cops, but it was written over when I got home. Just some wheel well trim tugged on, not even ripped off. Not one single scratch on my beast. Get flipped off about once a month or someone yelling POS.

Bozeman isn't wildly conservative. It sounds like it should be but folks from the West Coast have brought with them their ideologies. It's also a university town.
