External mount from Mars AG:
https://marsag.co/collections/parts-accessories/products/expedition-starlink-mini-mount-1

Suits our needs perfectly as didn't want it inside the cabin for extended periods of time.
The mount doesn’t allow the PeakDo to be directly attached as intended, but I can plug it in through an extension cable.

Mount is extremely sturdy and signal has been fantastic. I’m powering it through the 110 in the bed and need to play with the wiring still and the best way to hide and protect it.

The silicone cover has worked well so far, although it is prone to someone coming by and just taking it off.

Working on a winter write up but though 2+ weeks of snow, the mini and its snow melt feature were outstanding! It easily dealt with snow accumulation between 1-2” per hour but during our heaviest of storms, it couldn’t clear it all quick enough and there was some ice accumulation. That occurred when we were getting 3”+/hr and temps in the teens.

Aren't you worried someone could steal it? I honestly always think that someone could dismount it and simply walk away, since it's low enough to the ground that anyone could mess with it.

It’s absolutely possible and if I’m honest, it’s bound to happen at some point. Now with that being said, it would either have to be ripped off, which would require quite a bit of strength and would probably catch someone’s attention, or someone would have to have the right sized wrench on them to unscrew the 4 bolts. That to would take some time but yes, definitely possible and probably probable with the amount of driving we do.

With that said, I wasn’t concerned with the opinions of sheep during all the CT hate and if one of them or anyone else ends up stealing it, then I’ll turn in the sentry footage, hope for the best and just chalk it up as a loss.

Maybe I should start a pool to see what the betting line is to make it 3, 6, 9 and 12 months! 😂😂😂

the dark cover is definitely worth it for the car. no glare, makes it hard to see the dish itself from the outside too.

and they just increased the Roam plan cap to 100gb!

Love it! Looks great! Hope the weighted mount works for you as it’s been great for me so far.

What swivel mount did you go with for the attachment? Looks nice!

I just suction cupped it to the rear roof glass right behind the driver's head. Works great.

There are my kids behind my seat 🤣 and I personally don't like much any visible cables, just my thing, I like to either hide all signs of them or modify it, so it looks as aesthetic as possible 🤷‍♂️

what does your alignment say?
Tesla Cybertruck Convenient Starlink Mini mount + Video 1769284184670-mv

mine is facing forward tilted
Think due to the angled glass
I have to face it backwards and do the tilt
Then I’ll be in alignment
😁

The only problems I have had is brief disruptions due to overpasses
