What I love about this battery in particular is that it shows you how much power it consumes, so you have a very precise understanding of how long it will last.

Also the mini stays on when supercharging
With mine plugged into the center console outlet, that out is off when charging

but some supercharger sites have wifi
That thinks the standard design

Plug it into a USB-C port for power and you don't have to worry about it shutting off when your @ the SC.

is “dark color on the mini to reduce windshield glare” a true concern or not really? and I wonder what the threaded connections at the corners are for

Those are standard 1/4” screw holes for various mounting or tripod options. I’ve only ever used the central one.

That black is just a protective silicone cover. I’m mounting my mini outside when we travel so it’s just to give it some semblance of protection from the outdoors. We’ve had sub freezing temps the past few days, along with several feet of snow, so it was also just something to make clearing it easier. Didn’t want frozen ice to form around it.

I tested my case and it didn't affect the connection whatsoever. I went with a white one to reflect sunlight during hotter days, a black one actually is a good idea if you want to mount it under the windshield, yet keep an eye on the temperature.

Well, nothing critical. It might reflect, but I do not think it should be anything bad due to the steep angle of the windshield. I might test it, but the problem is we have no sun 🙃

I have a silicone cover on my mini which is on the dash it is nicer to blend with the dash and does help with the reflection. When I had no cover just saw a white blob on the right of the window. I just don’t like it. Was distracting,
hope that helps.

and how do you have it mounted to the dash? is it just laying there?
No. It’s on strong magnetic feet which are anchored to the little speaker grill/defrost vent right at the front.
130lbs of total holding force. It has 4 65lbs pucks but only 2 are on something ferrous. At first I was gonna stick a plate underneath but it’s SO solid just like this there really isn’t a point. Doesn’t go anywhere by itself even without the magnets but the concern is what happens in a high energy MVC.

Sorry for the delay everyone but here it is. I was able to mount the weighted pad to the Starlink with a double end male thread screw. I’ve been using it for the past week with the Starlink on the dashboard and haven’t had any issues. Looks like it might be a winner for me when I want the portability and have the need to bring it inside the vehicle.
