At highway speeds my wind noise was pretty loud. All windows were in the upmost position. And then I tipped the rear windows to drop slightly and the wind noise was gone! The windows sealed the wind and road noise out perfectly by dropping the windows lightly. Crazy!

Interestingly, enough, I noticed this too. Especially on the highway, if you have the rear windows all the way up, air gets in through the seals and causes a ton of noise in the cabin, however, if you drop the windows about a centimeter, they sit better on the seals and less air and noise gets in. I added it to a service visit, it may be that the window regulator needs to be calibrated..

Yep, that's like my right rear window; and yes, that's what I do, just drop it a smidge.

I did go into the service menu and recalibrate that window, but no change. I think there's a way to set the TOP position, but I can't remember how to do it. I'll have to look.

I will say I've noticed this as well but only on the colder mornings.
It does not do this for me when it's warm outside.

Same. Only started doing it when it got below 40. Its almost like they didn't actually do real world cold weather testing… my frunk latch keeps getting stuck too since its been cold

It’s a property of laminated glass that it deflects like that in cold temperatures. A small drop of the window will often seal it up nicely.

Calibrating Windows
In the unlikely event that a window behaves unexpectedly (fails to open or close properly, goes down more than normal when the door opens, etc.), you can calibrate it to potentially fix the issue.
To calibrate a window:
  1. Close the door with the affected window.
  2. Sit in the driver's seat and close the driver door.
  3. Using the window's switch on the driver's door, fully raise the affected window until it stops.
  4. Using the window's switch on the driver's door, fully lower the affected window until it stops.
  5. Repeat step 3 and fully raise the affected window until it stops.
If this does not resolve the issue after performing a few times, use your mobile app to schedule a Service appointment.

I had not only wind noise but WIND! coming in thru the rear windows. Re-calibrating brought significant improvement.

Was all noise through the rear windows? I’ve noticed noise mainly through the front windows but oddly only at cold temperatures (sub 25 or so).
I've noticed exactly the same. But it's not consistent either.

Let us know how the service appointment goes! I have the same issue.

I had some excess wind noise from driver-side rear window and Tesla service found that the front edge of the window on the exterior was protruding slightly, and adjusted something in the B-pillar, which solved the problem. So if anyone continues experiencing this after recalibrating, that could be something to check.
