Future factory delivery center area at Giga Texas ... very cool!

Some images from this morning at Giga Texas & the in progress work for a customer direct delivery center. New intersection for public access complete, displays in windows & finishing landscaping work. ​

The test track is being relocated away from this location because of the delivery center operations. There have been other changes in the outbound lot to get ready. ​

I should have asked this before I was there: is there a place where one can park to take pictures from the front of the Tesla Giga factory in Austin?

I was around there two weeks ago, and following the Tesla routeplanner to the factory I ended up at a gate where the guard friendly but firmly told me “no public access”. He did not (want to?) tell me how I could get close.

I will be in Austin again end October (F1 race at COTA), would be nice to combine with a quick foto opp at Tesla factory.

Camera with a zoom lense from the highway, maybe? It's not safe, but you could pull over onto the shoulder and snap some pics.

you could probably get away with parking temporarily where this car is at the end, and walk on the safer side of the Jersey barrier to get a clean shot:

The state owns a certain amount of feet from the highway, so you could probably be fine in that grassy buffer zone, which usually makes up 10-30 ft from the edge of the pavement.

I bought my Cybertruck in California. It was delivered in Texas.

Basically, I had to pay the full amount, sight unseen, with a check FexEx'd to Tesla in California days in advance of delivery. I even had to get insurance for a vehicle I didn't yet own, so that Tesla could file the registration paperwork.

Looks like the big end of quarter Customer Direct Delivery event is getting ready here at GIga Texas! So many cars in the outbound lot & overflows on the E side old outbound lot too! Kid-sized Cybertruck, a track to drive them on, new tents, & of course new cars!

I was just there 20 minutes ago being part of the end of the quarter delivery events with over 400 new Teslas being delivered to their ecstatic owners and their families. Plus we all get a factory tour. The factory is so much bigger in person than in photos. I am so impressed with the sheer enormity and complexity of this entire operation. Hats off to the entire Tesla Team and Elon Musk for pulling this off in such a short period of time. The main factory is like 100 football field sized with many more buildings under construction. There are currently over 12000 Tesla employees calling this home. This is GigaTexas City!!
