Tesla light bar not really worth it 🤷🏼‍♂️

I recently got the light bar installed, yay!

Overall, for me it’s not worth the ding on range(whatever small amount that is). Don’t get me wrong it’s bright but the high beams on the cybertruck are REALLY GOOD.

Fair enough. I’ve been trying to find one mostly for cosmetic purposes. It’s pretty rare I need to illuminate a football field even when off-roading after sunset.

If the truck is parked, can the lightbar be turned on remotely in the app? Or can it only be controlled inside?

However ever since adding my ditch lights and light bar, I’ve gotten more appreciation on the street and at off road parks. ?

It can’t be controlled remotely. Also if you turn the power down to 1% it would still blind oncoming traffic. I thought it might work as a accent light at that low of power but nope!

That's a shame. Maybe will be able to in future updates I hope. I could see this being invaluable for illuminating work sites and emergency situations.

I love mine and as light shows demonstrate each led is individually addressable so there be more fun coming. I use it to blind protestors or read their signs better from a distance ??

Just the looks is worth the small ding in range, imho. Maybe I'll put my aero wheel covers back on to off set my lightbar ? Currently, I have an aftermarket rooftop light bar install on my non-FS Cyberbeast and many have complimented on it. My Tesla lightbar is scheduled for end of this month to be installed. I can't wait to compare the two in terms of looks, functionality, range ding, etc?

I've been driving mine during the day at 1% as a DRL, and have had no issues, Even set across the intersection from several police, without any issue.

Exactly! I could never figure out why so many people were so excited by the lightbar. I'm still strying to come up with a use-case when I would be glad to have a bright, glaring light capable of lighting up much of a football field and I keep coming up blank because I don't expect to find myself in a 24/hour Baja Off-Road race.

If I end up needing to drive at high speeds, off-road, at night, I will say, "Damn! I wish I had the lightbar!". Until then, I'm perfectly happy with the exterior lighting on the Cybertruck.
