Could you capture more angles from the drone footage?

-Crissa
Yeah probably just a question of if its more off axis than the ones I have. Even just one aerial version would help. Do you have a link to the video?

Cybertruck topic is the top voted question for Q3 earnings call . Hopefully he gives us a straight answer vs being vague lol. Tell us:

Press is being installed in November and testing will start late Dec!! ?

Yeah this is likely going to be a bit more than tidbits this time.
I suspect.

Tesla Model Y LR, Model 3 SR, CT on order

I hope you are right.

By the way, when they did the delivery event for Giga Texas Model Ys they didn't say anything about features or specs - they just handed 20 people their Model Ys and that was it. For the Model S Plaid delivery event they did talk about the graphite-wrapped rotor so there is some precedent for some kind of feature presentation, on occasion. I guess we'll see next month if your hypothesis bears fruit.
Yep from a hardware perspective, my 2021 Model Y is very different than the current Y's coming out of Texas. Perhaps the essential point is, this is not your grandfathers auto manufacturer. Most people, our Government and Wall Street still do not get it. They expect Tesla to act like a car company and are are fearful about this disruption.

Tesla makes computers with wheels and the specs will be fluid. No more model year changes, just constant updates to software and periodic hardware changes to lower cost and/or upgrade performance. You know, like smart phones ...

We are witnessing the metamorphosis of the transportation industry and everyone should just try and enjoy the ride. That will be easier when we have our Cybertrucks. What we all have in common is that we were willing (eager?) to purchase this most disruptive of all EV's. It is going right at big auto's darling, the pickup truck and giving it "half the peace sign" as it cruises by.

Last time they gave a surprisingly concrete update on the Cybertruck delivery timeline.

I suspect they will give at least as much detail “Middle Next Year” or an update that timeline since they’ve opened that Pandora’s box. Would like more than that, but not getting my hopes up.

Looking back at Joe Tegtmeyer's drone footage picture, I am now thinking those two shells and the display board in front of them are intended as a backdrop during the earnings call... Certainly, they are a bit early for a November reveal event. Though, I'm still hoping there is another event at GigaTexas in November...

I’m on team November update event, I’m pretty sure I cleaned the whole team… Lol

But they don’t really do a video on the earnings calls, it’s just a call that you can listen to. You might be thinking about the annual shareholders event they held in August where there was a video stream

That doesn’t mean that they’re not gonna have those bodies on an assembly line in the factory and photo in the investor deck, I kind of expect that. I almost wonder if that’s really what this is all about and they’re gonna talk about the tooling that’s being rolled in, then mentioned that there will be an update next month or so hopefully next month.

This would be good.

The phrases I’m looking for are:

”Production on the Cybertruck starts…”

Releasing photos or videos of the Cybertruck on the assembly line would be good, but it would be hard to say from that where they are. For example they clearly don’t have their origami stainless folding machine online. If these were built in Fremont on a test assembly line which is being shipped to Texas now… that would be good to hear as well.

I’m not super optimistic about big news, but confirmation on the timeline would be super good.

I would prefer they were a no-show at any event and were just there to be used for production & testing!

Though it might make sense if they were to have a November event (still not sold on this) for them to have completed test trucks ready to demo final features. The fact that they would need to finish the truck in Texas would illustrate that they are able to do final assembly in Texas.

Any of this would be a good sign of an “Early” launch. (Is it still early when you launch before a revised date which is later than the original date?)

I would almost rather see a pilot line set up and Fremont/the secret building in Nevada. They have where they are doing the semi, and I’m announce that there are migrating that all over in tooling is arriving from suppliers’s.
And obviously, the event that I keep bs-ing about in November hahaha

The reason I would rather see a pilot line set up elsewhere, would tell us that they’re very much ready for it, and production will be quick to ramp, rather than figuring it all out on the fly

I have a hard time believing they’ve just dicked around for the last three years.

This would be fine too.

Though I’d prefer it was already disassembled and halfway built in Texas.
