At first I was like why would they reduce the ground clearance ....but then I remembered about 1% (estimated guess) of all truck sales ppl will use these for off roasting. So yes looks pretty good! but prefer less of a lower lip...but not bad.
Would make sense for a cybervan for families with bench seating for third row and captain seats in the 2nd row....then for a commercial vehicle just remove all the seats and make it rear wheel only...2 birds one stone theory.
I believe Tesla will have some headwinds with demand for the next year or so and supercharger installs are very expensive, about $500k each for standard 8-12 stalls. I think the break even on a stall is prob 3-5 years. So it makes sense for them to halt production....also to shorten the break...
I understand how Waymo works but they are only really restricted by red tape from permits. I think highway driving is a much easier problem to solve than downtown SF during rush hour. I much prefer Waymo's approach to autonomous cars. Better to have a a very good system in place and start small...
After using FSD free trial in SF...it's no where near as smooth and as safe as the Waymo here in the city. I would say it's about 65% there as compared to Waymo...I think Elon needs to ride in a Waymo and see how smooth an autonomous ride can be, they're the gold standard as of now. Cruise was...
Maybe Tesla needs to move to a 31X stainless to have it more corrosion resistant to the elements... obviously this will be way more expensive to make, but can't have customers scrubbing their trucks every other day.
This is the reason why I wouldn't want a first Gen vehicle...although this is a minor issue....imagine others that are not as apparent. End of 2025 is when I was my Cybertruck....by then all the gremlins should be worked out.
I was thinking the same but If I was going into non charging territory for camping or whatever...I would just make room for a semi compact generator. Might be more beneficial, cheaper and more useful than a battery pack I might use the juice from a couple times a year with the weight penalty...
Hmmm I spoke with a Tesla engineer and he said only tri-motor batteries were ready. Which means the range is software locked most likely. Given the hype they could make the first series of trucks easier to manufacture on a single line. That’s also why the pricing is more expensive. People who...
I think the combination of ride height adjustment and rear wheel steer will eat up these expensive tires extremely quickly. I remember back in auto class, camber doesn't kill tires fast, it's the wrong toe in or toe out specs. I'm no where near the front of the line so definitely something I'll...
A proper dual fuel generator hooked up to your home would be a better alternative to a vehicle anyway. V2h is limited by vehicles battery state of charge. These new propane /gas generators seem way more cost effective and more useful overall.
I think a backup generator is way more useful and cheaper than trying to power your house with a EV. V2H is pretty gimmicky imo and a waste of money to add to your home.

Tesla will make them, if not enough then some from suppliers. End result plenty of batteries from somewhere. Close thread! Bye..
I don't think they will be 4680 cell constrained by the time Cybertruck hits 5k/ week by end of next year. Pricing will definitely reflect demand, and by early 2025 there will be multiple 4680 factories online in the US. I do believe pricing will be the deciding factor if the CT flops.
I'm...
