This is hillarious. He said, "We pretty much know how these chemicals work on cleaning our truck, but do we know what happens if we leave some of them on a second too long? They can cause horrible stains to the metal that might not come out."

This is terrible FUD. No chemicals you should use to clean your Cybertruck will cause horrible permanent stains that might not come out, particularly if you only leave them on a second too long.

The stainless steel is homogenous all the way through, so unless you are putting acids strong enough to eat right through stainless steel, you can always polish any surface damage right out using common abrasives and polishing tools. And the stainless steel is more resistant to strong acids and bases than any traditional painted car. These substances will require an expensive and difficult to match/blend repainting on a painted car. Paint is far more fragile than the stainless steel.

Then he proceeds to use a non-Cybertruck piece of stainless steel of a different alloy than the Cybertruck is made from, to test the staining potential. He doesn't identify the specific alloy, or whether it's cold rolled to "full hard", but it undoubtedly has less chromium in it since we know Tesla boosted chromium levels to make it more corrosion resistant. That also increases the cost and makes it more stain resistant. However, he assures his viewers the cheaper, more common sample wil behave in a similar manner. Apparently, he thinks his viewers are pretty gullible because the sample stainless steel isn't even the same color as the stainless steel used for the Cybertruck.

At that point I had to quit watching the video, it's a really dumb and meaningless video. Where do these dumb-dumbs come from? They must be desperate for money to be so eager to make such fools of themselves publicly.

Yes and they don't do similar tests to PAINTED vehicles, do they?

Of course not... Because too many people would say "Any idiot knows you can't leave car cleaning products on a paint job in the bright sunlight for 30 minutes" - heck, not even 5 min!!

That's why almost EVERY car product says "DO NOT USE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT"... hmmm... weird...

Just another 'hit piece' on Tesla's...

This is crazy. First off, the Stainless is not that hard to clean. A cheap pressure washer, foam cannon and rinse. California squeegee and that's it.

Is it ok to use Bilt Hamber touchless on the CT stainless steel? I would think it is but before trying it out I thought I would see if anyone else has used it.
