I love the huge tires my CT comes with, I know that when I switch to winter tires it's going to bother me because of how small the tires will look on the truck.

What are the best CT winter tires money can buy? And is there a set that maybe is a little larger so that the tires dont look puny on the cybertruck in the winter time?

Not sure what the best ones are but we went with the Toyo Open Country AT/III’s. We’re in the Tahoe area (Sierra Nevadas) and generally get 300+ inches of snow a year. We spend 100+ days either resort or backcountry skiing, along with camping and snowmobiling, so we did a pretty big deep dive into winter tires. We ultimately decided on these as we’ve used them to great success on our Sequoia over the years. We also researched these and considered both:
Falken Wild Peak A/T 4
BFG All Terrian K03
We’re still a couple of months away from our first wonderful snowfall, but I’ll test them the moment I can and let you know. 👍🥶

Have you tested them yet last winter?

I saw some folks saying these might be the ultimate for winter + ice:

275-65-20 Nokian hakkapolitas

Any triple peak rated all-terrains tend to do pretty well in most snow/ice conditions. I don't think any tire maker makes a 35" snow tire, so you'd have to downsize to the 275/65-20 (only about a half inch difference)... and Nokians are about the best on the market.

Unfortunately not, as had stock tires on last winter as didn’t get the truck until January.

If money were no concern, I would pick between:

*
BFG All Terrian K03, as I have these on my old ICE farm truck, and they do ok in dry Colorado snow. OEM size.

* check out @Dogger37's post new Pirelli AT: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/question-about-ct-tire-types.48369/post-30668805

* Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3 in slightly smaller size (closest fit) 275-65-20 or 275-70-18 (OEM size for 18 inch wheels on Cybertruck)

For dedicated rims, should i go for 20x9 ?

I bet you can find either Core or Cyber rims for reasonable cost, if you want to stay OEM. Yes, 20x9 is OEM size.

Not a big issue to go with a 275 instead of the original 285 size?

Your speedometer and odometer will be a tad off (~1 mph), and your load rating may change (doesn't matter if you don't tow or load up the bed a fully)... but for the tire on the wheel, you won't notice a real difference.

spoke with a friend who has owned a CT since last year, foundation model AWD -- he told me he didnt even get dedicated witner tires, just drove the truck like normal all winter and it was fine.

He said the truck is so heavy that he didnt feel he needed to swap tires -- just sharing some insights for those still on the fence.

ive always had a seperate set of winter tires so i'll be getting the nokians

Your "friend" is playing a dangerous game. Remember that EVERY CT that fails to properly conquer ANY terrain will make the national news.

Don't feed the stuckers, use the best/right gear every time.

I live in North Dakota and get my AWD last December. Had the all-seasons and they weren't very good on the compacted snow or ice so ordered the winter tire package from Tesla after a month. Very happy with their performance on snow/ice/mud.

Tesla Cybertruck What are the absolute best CT winter tires? IMG_5698

I run the 275/65R20 Hakkepeliitta LTs on the core wheels in Vermont and they are incredible. Packed snow, slush, ice, nothing phases the Beast on these tires. Many times was comfortably doing 80MPH+ on 3+ inches of snow. We had a cold winter but I was surprised how little wear they had for the amount of power and torque in the truck. A+ all around
