I personally don’t think thread editing smacks of any kind of honesty. It’s a personal bias. I don’t think book or media censorship is a reasonable way to control information one isn’t happy about either. You’re either a free speech absolutist or you’re not.
In fact, the true measure of this happens when you deeply resent the information being transmitted.
So I’d prefer anyone researching this in the future have access to all the information.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been forced to thread edit before but I prefer not to whenever possible.

Wait, I'm confused, did you edit your thread or the company edited it on your behalf? If the latter that's a huge issue - for me at least. I edit my threads all the time, but it's usually because of spelling errors or something, but it's ME editing my own words.

In this case it was me editing the thread using “edit” to reflect I added it after the fact. I don’t want to harm or make bad recommendations with false Information but I have in fact had posts edited by sponsors.
So you are aware, that can and does happen. Posts and parts of posts are selectively deleted from threads all the time.

That's crazy... Can we see when these edits are made? Sponsor or not, they should not have that ability.

No. There is no way I know of to know when viewing the thread unless there is a hole in context or you yourself are the editee.
There may be a way to know that, I’m just not technologically sophisticated enough to tell you about it.
Not sure who exactly has editing privileges and who doesn’t but I know for sure it happens because it’s happened to me multiple times.
I can give you examples by DM if you’d like but I assure you, I’m not full of shit on this.

I stand corrected. Maybe Hansshow has solved the problems with the prior mirror. My critique of it may in fact be baseless since I don’t own one. If that’s the case please accept my apologies.
Not bashing it at all. If you’re going to buy one of these later version Hansshow mirrors please follow the opinion/advice of someone who has actually bought and installed one like the folks above.
I have the s92 from Tesstudio and it finally works after months of back and forth troubleshooting. It was clearly released prematurely before the current working harness was available. The early versions of this were a nightmare and the support was abysmal. That I can say with certainty.
Back to my main concern for this thread though which still remains unanswered, is this a third (or 4th if you include the smaller s8) distinct product from TLYARD that’s being advertised?
So essentially there are now four choices ? The Hansshow, the S8, the S92 and this one or is this some variant of the others.
It looks and sounds rather similar to some of the marketing material I’ve seen from Hansshow so I don’t think that’s an unreasonable question to want a straight answer for.

So I went and looked at the install manual for this new version, it looks like they threw together some parts from the bin and called it a new version - unless the company wants to step in and correct me. It looks like it is using the older version of the hansshow larger mirror before the front camera was integrated. The rear triangle cam was from older versions and lastly it still plugs into the blue port on the main computer in the foot well and not the white door port. Most importantly, the price is absolutely ridiculous - it is listed at $549, which is absurd unless it's got some serious new features im missing.

That’s consistent with what i suspected was the case. Thank you for using your knowledge of the product to clarify. I simply don’t have that knowledge because I’ve been busy being screwed in the s92 pathway. If this was a rebrand of that, I’d be all over it. I’ve installed every version of that thing.

For streaming live video, I think that's why its billed as a streaming rearview mirror.

It says built in 5G-Wifi, (whatever that means), it also says it has Ethernet signal transmission, so take it for what it's worth. It shows on the site that you can view recordings from the mirror on your phone. Full disclosure, mine has a Wifi feature too, but I've never turned it on or given it access to my wifi.

you must be referring to the previous versions. They are now on the 3rd (or 4th?) version and not a single negative review of the most recent version. If you can’t point to a negative review, then maybe delete that post since it’s apparently baseless. .

They only have a 2.0 listed on their site. Wondering how you can tell you’re getting the latest version.
