My condolences on the World Series btw, fellow Cybertrucker 😜
All good.. haven’t followed baseball since the mid-late 90’s when I lived in Manhattan. Go Yankees!

I do 5K also. Because why not? Easy enough to do yourself, especially if you rotate in a spare.
I use to rotate in the spare as well well when I had the stock tires. When I got the KO3s I decided to not rotate the spare in. New plan is to put the spare on when I buy new tires and make one of the current wheels/rims/new rubber the new spare. Should work out to keep the ā€œspareā€ rubber from getting old and makes it so I only have to buy four tires when they need replacing. Also I found it annoying working in the spare to the rotation, doable but annoying :)

Isn’t it more annoying to have to jack up two corners simultaneously and put them both on jack stands?

Yes. The alignment of each wheel can be slightly different so rotations should help them wear evenly. I rotate mine every 5k miles. I’m a former Toyota guy so the 5k rotation is all I know. It’s easier to remember, unlike the 6200 miles Tesla recommends.
Even if your wheels are in perfect balance and your axles are in perfect alignment - the roads aren't.

That’s where I’m at. With a spare, it’s one wheel off the ground at a time. Easy peasy.

Sigh…I’ll find one eventually or maybe just crack and pay the Tesla shop for the package with the bougie telescopic breaker bar

I slide a jack stand under the mounting point for the safeties but just leave it on the jack while changing wheels. Jack stand hasn’t had to support weight yet.

Same same. I use this completely effortless vevor electric jack.
Once it’s up high enough I slide the jack stand under the support point.

It’s not a bad price for what it is. The breaker bar and socket are subpar but the jack and the cover for bed mounting are legit.

True. I like my electric jack and m18 impact gun with atraumatic socket better though.

I have a snap on floor jack and Milwaukee impact driver for rotations, but Tesla’s kit is a pretty solid option for swapping a spare on the side of the freeway.

Is that electric jack small enough to keep in the truck at all times? Corded or battery?

Yes. Small enough for sure. I’ll snap you a photo of where I store it.
It’s corded with a little up/down remote on the cord.
Would you like a link?

For sure! I like the idea of a corded one. Something that can stay in the gear locker and not worry about charging it would be great. Also looking for a good corded air compressor. I’ll probably try Tesla’s but I haven’t had good luck with their past ones. V2 and V3 for the sexy cars both took a crap on me so I don’t have high hopes for their $600 CT one.

Had to get new jack stands for the truck anyway (the old ones for the Model X didn’t have the height) so I snagged four of them. I just put the entire truck on stands. Never have more than two tires off at a time and not for long, makes it really easy to follow the recommended rotation pattern.

Recommend lug guides as well, they are amazing:

Those are very nice. What do the lug guides do for you?
