What is the light pattern like in front of you? And how likely is it that the LEDs will survive winter road bullets? I don't imagine it comes with a good cover for when not in use?
I’ll take some video this evening but it’s a wide dispersed flood. The lightbar angle is adjustable so we have it aimed in a way that gives the best increase immediately in front of the truck. I’ll be in some dark roads this evening so I’ll show you the difference.

I’ve never really had any difficulty with road bullets and their impact on lights but I’ve also never had a lightbar this low. I’m gonna guess it’s minimal but possible. They seem very well made and quite industrious but time will tell.

You can find a variety of covers like this but I decided not to go this route as we use the bar daily while driving at night.

On public roads? Is it street legal or are you just... careful... of when it's powered on? 😎

Using the touch screen to power it on and off would get old pretty fast. 🤔

I don’t believe they’re street legal and we’re very cautious and careful when we use them. With that being said, we’ve driven past and behind highway patrol in Nevada and the Bay Area the past few weeks and haven’t had an issue when we have had them on.

Using the touch screen to turn on and add works but it’s definitely not the most practical. Working on installing a 6 or 8 part switch for it and other accessories like some of the guys here have already done.

Those Bluetooth switches I've seen a few people using look like they'd do the job for a bunch of things...

This is NOT the one I was recalling, but looks like it might be worth investigating...:

https://store.xkglow.com/catalog/pr...ssories/xkcommand-switch-panel-for-cybertruck

This is close to what I recall:

https://www.amazon.ca/Wireless-Niking-Auto-Multifunction-Control/dp/B0F52Z777X?th=1

I thought Auxbeam might sell something like this too, but I can't see a specific model that doesn't require a wire from the controller to the actual under-the-hood switch box.

Of course, you still need to sort out the 48 Volt issue...

Would this be the fix for the 48V?

My initial tests went well, I'll finally get a really good test this weekend. Simple acrylic block in front of the headlights. Held in place by Frunk

I ordered this last night. However after looking at the light bar pictured, I noticed that my front license plate will block some of the light bar.
We will see how it goes once I install it
Easy fix. Remove the license plate

I would go with a higher voltage one. I put in two 48v to 12 transformers with weird mixed results. then found out that the 48v is the low end. it can go well up into the 50s. I've been using this one for 6 or 7 months without any issues.
Amazon.com: Pro Chaser DC-DC 72V 60V 48V Volt Voltage to 12V Step Down Voltage Reducer Regulator 360W 30A for Scooters & Bicycles Golf Cart (30A 360W) : Electronics

Its like your 12v car or truck that is actually 13.9v.
