Yep, but they were way under the speed limit. Faster you go= 300, 282, 268, 239, 202, “oh oh, hope I can get to a charger, oh $hi# I have to disconnect the trailer prior to charging?!”
Yeah, I don’t understand why they aren’t putting the charging ports in the front of the vehicles, so if you’re towing something you don’t have to disconnect. It doesn’t make sense. This isn’t that hard to figure out.

But if the slot isn't a pull through, are you saying backing out of the spot with a trailer is easier? Not from what I see at the boat dock! And if the spot IS a pull through, what difference does it make if the port is near the front, or the back, or you roll down your window and use the cigarette lighter!?!?

Your are not visualing or critically thinking about this. Partly because most layout would NOT be setup to let big-a$$ trailers stick out into the parking lot blocking traffic as well as other cars trying to back in to charge. Imagine having all these trailers sticking out at awkward angles into the lanes.

Pack size of the GM must be around 225kwh.
1.1 miles/kwh efficiency=250 mile towing range if driven to 0.
Truck said it had 475 when fully charged before towing which with a 225kwh pack would give it 2.11 miles/kwh efficiency rate while Not towing. Not too bad.
I just used my table and the given (yellow) numbers to calculate out close to what they got.

Saw that the Silverado has a spare. Not full size but good sized.

Looks like you use a tool to lower it to the ground. Concept is with tailgate up (lockable) that people can't steal the spare (person indicate that has been a concern).
I had this similar thing on my Ford Explorer or Expedition (maybe both).

What value would a single tire have, tho? O-o

Not to mention, the reason given for underbed storage is that you can lower the spare without unloading cargo. Which this design makes not possible depending on that cargo. Me, I stopped worrying about spares a long time ago. If I decide to take up back country expeditions, I'll toss one in the bed, other wise its a good kit and risk acceptance for me.

This product strikes me as another totally non-mainstream, spec-chasing dumpster-fire by GM, similar to the heinous monstrosity that is the Hummer EV.

Anyone towing enough to justify the massive battery size and associated cost and weight would be MUCH better off buying a gas or diesel. The time to recharge such a vehicle and the current state of our infrastructure means you might save a few beans, but you're going to seriously overpay in time and convenience.

It's a work-in-progress one to see how they all compare that I've been posting images of as I tweak it. I may link to it in the future. I have other misc data around the cells below.

CT data obviously missing but will be interesting.

After the CT threat of going after the best selling class in the USA, these guys understood the assignment. They have a lot of customer features besides range as well. Interesting times.

Most efficient towing in class is a target to reach.

Vast majority of towing is going to be below 200 miles. That's more than three hours of driving. If you're not ready for a stop and a snack after three hours towing, I don't know what to say about the safety of your driving.

The battery can be used for more than driving. They have 120 and 240v plugs. Construction, farming, utility work, etc. Off grid camping/hunting/sporting. Open your scope and mind more. Certainly, Ford and GM are well versed in what their fleet/commerical and residential customers have asked.

The R1T DM Large should have the same efficiency as the DM Max. We don't know yet, but I suspect it will be a 160 kWh pack.

I haven't seen anything to back that up. Everything says 135. Larger pack would be heavier (and EPA testing is not a constant speed so weight matters). Not sure if it accounts for the miles/kWh diff tho. Stand DM is pretty efficient.

The EPA uses a carefully designed set of cycles which include speeding up, slowing down, stopping, and driving constantly at prescribed speeds. They run all cars through the same set of city and highway tests, and the two cycles are called the Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule (UDDS) and the Highway Fuel Economy Driving Schedule (HWFET).

I agree the large pack is 135 kWh, and I think the max pack will be around 160 kWh. I am only guessing based on the range numbers Rivian has provided. It is unlikely the extra weight will have a significant impact on efficiency, so I expect the max pack to have around the same efficiency as the large pack truck. Again, I am only guessing. We will find out for sure s00n.
