I've seen a few pictures and positive reviews on the OEM crossbars but not a whole lot. I mainly want the style of them but will occasionally strap something long on top. So in the front position does it cause any wind noise or noticeable decrease in range? Thanks for any pictures to help me pull the trigger (or cautions against them).

I bought two sets and until I got my rack from Mars I had them on and they’re the only crossbars I would put on my truck. They’re very easy to put on and take off. Quick release is fantastic and I think they look fantastic as well. Highly recommend and I’ve got an UNopened box that I could be convinced to sell you

I absolutely love mine. They go on and off in seconds, are very solid, fold smoothly and store easily. They lock. The durable foam insert in the track keeps them pristine and fits just about anything. I store mine on one of the cybertent l-track brackets but there are many non-wasteful ways to put them in there and take them out only as needed.

I would also agree that they are really well designed and engineered. The build quality is fantastic. The black finish is not easily damaged (unlike the stock wheels…) i store mine on a rack in the garage when not in use. I had them on the back with a rack so i cant speak to wind noise from the front but i did not notice any range loss or significant wind noise with them on the back.

I had absolutely no issues with wind noise when I had them installed and I had them in position one and two. I think the tapering is designed to reduce it.

Same same, in position 1 and 2 they feel invisible to the truck. Only way you know they are there is looking through the roof glass.

Appreciate the insight. I have Tesla credits I'm looking to spend unless you're really looking to part with them.
The Mars racks look cool, I might move onto that eventually.

Nice, you got a lot going on there and I need to start catching up! Why not keep them on all the time? Personal preference for the smooth clean lines?

That makes a perfect camping rig! I'd be torn to keep it over the bed or the glass roof. Pros and cons to each I suppose.

Yes. Same reason I have a cybertent and not a much more practical rack with a rooftop tent. Hard for me to commit to something that sits there permanently and interferes with the CT silhouette and theoretically makes it even slightly less efficient. This way if I genuinely have something large to carry like a ladder or canoe or if I need a cargo box, I can do so on the road without going back to my garage.

Pros and cons exactly. I preferred over the bed since it made everything very accessible

Ever considered using something like this on the rack?
