My understanding is that his title isn’t CEO anyway and it makes me even more of a fan.

There's been many reports that Jobs both knew about the Apple Watch and wanted to invest in more wearable, including glasses.

The rest of what you said is true. I think the Vision Pro, Apple Home, and Apple Car were/are all failures, but Cook has made a lot of money. (Apple TV is struggling, losing 1 billion per year, but it does have some excellent shows).

We can agree to disagree about Vision Pro, but they've cut investment into it by 50% and it isnt selling. It is innovative.

I don’t think Tesla is established enough to not have a visionary as CEO. Much at the AI futures in RT, robots, etc. are still in infancy.

All of that said, Musk has absolutely damaged the brand. The European sales numbers that came in today are all down from Q1. Tesla selling cars looks like a rough road ahead.
We agree mostly, other than the 6th generation iPod nano though which because of its square shape and some aftermarket products (which I own) where you could turn it into a “watch” — there’s no evidence that Steve was aware of the Apple Watch before he died, and it’s really Jony Ives that ran that project. Although he (Steve) definitely continually expressed interest in wearables.

My OG iPod Nano Apple “Watch”

The Apple Watch luxury rollout, the solid gold edition, etc. have Jony’s DNA all over it. The watch came out in ‘15 and really didn’t start development until ‘12 all after Steve had passed away (‘11).

If anything, I think it was Jony’s tribute to Steve.

As far as the Apple Vision Pro, it is the most analogous thing that Apple has to the Cybertruck. That’s why I mentioned them in the same breath. If one is a flop, so is the other. They are both tech technological tour de forces. They are both expensive relative to what they are. They are both futuristic and just by their design —offputting to some people.

But, the Apple Vision Pro is the best media consumption device ever made. Anyone who doesn’t think so, has never put one on their face. The Cybertruck is the best truck ever made — anyone who thinks otherwise is, likewise, simply ignorant to that reality.

One drive of the Cybertruck will instantly change people’s tune. One session in the Apple pro looking at the dinosaur experience, a Metallica concert or even your own home photos/videos converted to 3-D (with the tap of a finger mind you) will change and blow your mind.

With these two possessions alone, I’m living in a different reality than most people.

Yeah, I forgot about the “TechnoKing” thing. That was at the very height of his edge lord phase.

At this point, they should be investigating options. He is solely responsible for the current situation they’re in.

To say otherwise is to be in denial.

Gotta love folks that are members of a very specific vehicle forum and buy that vehicle only to complain online about absolutely nothing. Oh and they can also predict the collapse of that company and vehicle. Do us all a favor, sell your truck and delete you account, the constant negativity is so 2016-2020.

This is super off topic, but I think the Xreal One (Pros will be even better) are 70% of the experience of Vision pro at 12% of the price. The headset is too heavy and there aren't really any great native apps. I think the technology is really good, but some is dumb like the eyes on the outside or the AR emoji people.

I loved the Vision Pro at first, much like the Meta Quest, but for me it wore off in about a week. It's just too cumbersome and clunky to put on and do real things. I think the technology is coming from Android XR, but I have doubts about Apple.

I try to get all tech things ASAP. Meta Raybans,Vision Pro, XReal Ones, etc....I have issues.

Exact opposite experience re: Meta Quest v. AVP. I’ve used it five times. I’m a day one owner of the AVP and I use it at least five times a week. I no longer take flight flights without it.

I have:

2 Pair Rayban Meta (mate black & glossy brown - custom; both mine)
2 AVP (bought one from my wife)
1 Meta Quest 3
1 PS VR2
2 Oculus Quest (plus one for wife)
1 [had] PS VR1
1 Zeiss VR One Plus
1 Cardboard

They not like us. ?

? The part you highlighted literally says he is the CEO? Did you get past the first sentence?
