UPDATE: I called the service center this morning and they said they had both tire and wheel. Truck should be ready in a few hours.

This gives us CT owners a good idea of how long it can take....1-2days. Also, the tire is about $500 including install and wheel is $750.

Next, I need to get Quick Quack to reimburse me.

Keep the old wheel for a spare

The question is: “Are you ever going to take your Cybertruck to a Quick Quack again?”
I don't know right now. I'm going to talk to the manage at quick quack and see if this wouldn't be an issue at their new builds.

Yikes that is tough, good to know.

Let us know:
1. What the car wash says, there are vehicles WAY bigger and way smaller that will go through those kind of car washes
2. Any chance of you sharing the footage so we can see it?
Here's a link to the video. I wasn't able to upload it here.

If they fight you on paying the invoice I would stick to your guns. Companies like this absolutely have to carry liability insurance.

I know some scumbag companies like to try and intimidate and lie to people about how damages work. Even if they have a sign that says "not responsible for damage to vehicles". When in reality, they absolutely are lol

Hi All,

Brand new member here. Took delivery of my Cybertruck last week and have been absolutely in love with it.

Unfortunately, my front driver side tire popped while going through a car wash. I had gone through a few washes already over the days and didn't have an issue until this time.

What happened: Truck was going through while in neutral as usual. Towards the end, there was a point where it felt like the truck was stuck and then there was a pop. It turned out that for some reason, the front tire came off the track a little bit and a metal piece punctured the side wall.

Damage:
Flat tire
Some rim damage as well :(

Tesla roadside assistance was great. They sent a tow truck and gave me $50 uber credit to get home. They took it to the local service center and are trying to find a tire and wheel. I'm really hoping it's not going to take them forever to find the parts.

I'm expecting Quick Quack to give me a call within a day or so. We have the dashcam video and their video as well. They'll probably reimburse me for any cost of repairs.

If anyone has any insight as to how long the wait might be, that would be helpful. Also, I won't be going to this specific location anymore and will only go through ground up new build Quick Quacks, because they are built different according to the employee.

Yeah I'd be willing to take it to small claims. But I'm confident Quick Quack will be good about it.

Like many ICE on fossil fuel, we recommend 91 octane for maximum performance but you can safely use 87 octane...with decreased efficiency...:ROFLMAO:
But seriously, the metal rail shows a potential defect that the car wash owner failed to repair, resulting in the damage to this new Cybertruck. I'm betting that the car wash continued to operate after removing the Cybertruck ?
Actually using wrong octagon gas would damage your ICE cylinders over time badly.
