All. I need help.
My Cybertruck $2500 dollar credit expired on Sunday December 7th (it never stated a time). So I go to purchase my stuff last minute in the evening and my credits expired. It was after 9pm so I couldn’t contact customer service.
I call them today, and they said sorry, but nothing they could do. I couldn’t talk to any manager. They basically took $2500 from me! I am absolutely dejected as a passionate Tesla guy.
My credits in my app stated they expired 12/6. I figured I had till 1159 on 12/7 as no time was stipulated. Now I put it off last minute. I own that. But I paid for $2500. Now that they switched them to credits, they can put a limit on when it can be used and they stole the money. Not only that, but the email said I had till December 7.. they took the away before the 7th ended, and I couldn’t call anyone.. then today I spent over 3 hours on hold an only talked to one guy who messaged a boss who said, “tough shit”.

can anyone help me?!? I am heartbroken I lost my family $2500 waiting till the end and then to get a the rug yanked out

I think you’re hosed on this. Sorry. Respectfully, there were countless threads on here warning people not to do what you did because they expire midnight 12/5 in fact. Not even 12/6. Illogical but exactly as it reads. The second the calendar turns to 12/6 the credits are expired.
Bummed for you but there was plenty of warning. Legit.
Search and you’ll see what I mean.
To answer your question, it’s unlikely anyone here or at Tesla can help you.
If they can, please let us know how because I know of multiple people who have lost money this way and would love to solve the problem in whatever way you did.

tough break but entirely avoidable. I also waited until the end but ordered the day before they expired just in case since losing the credit would have annoyed me. I had the original one time use code that never converted to Tesla Shop credit. I was sweating digging through a year of email to find the one-time use code that did not appear anywhere else other than in that one email. If I lost the email or missed the date, that would have been on me.

Tesla was pretty clear on this one. And you even had the shop credit to make it easier to use. No reason to blame them, as hard as it is this one is all you. We all make mistakes. Own it, learn from it and move on.

I agree, I think you're out of luck on this one, you can try and fight it, but you're better off fighting a brick wall. It really sucks, but it's not really Tesla's fault, there have been a bunch of other threads on here of the same thing happening. I don't know why people would wait until the last second, a few months to wait for something to be back in stock or a cool new item, sure. I used mine a few days after I got it so I don't have to think about it again. I got crap I didn't really need, but it's better than the feeling I'm sure OP has right now.

I waited out almost the full year, less a day, hoping for the light bar for my FS AWD. Never showed up in the shop, then or now.

Probably out of luck. Even after getting a "FSD transfer is complete" and then selling the old car, Tesla said "No, it wasn't REALLY complete. Now, no FSD for you."

Point of grammar, and this sucks - If you have til the 7th to use credits, it means when the 7th starts, time is up. "Thru the 7th" or "Through the 7th" means you would have also had the whole day of the 7th.

There was no advantage to waiting until you thought you had 3 hours left to make this decision. I hope it works out for you even though it hasn't for me... 2 years later and no FSD on the Model Y... Sad day.

You had a specific goal in mind, if I was doing that I would have set 30 reminders in my calendar so I use it a week or month before.

Yours is also a different story... You've posted this story before and in your case I'm 1000% on your side - that was just a dick move by Tesla and they straight screwed you over. I know the point you're trying to illustrate is fighting it is pointless, but you deserve to win your argument.

oof. I waited and waited as well. Eventually, I made an appointment to have it installed. They cancelled at the last minute but then set me up for installation a month later. Don't know if me scheduling the installation had anything to do with it.

I hear they may have a new light or at least are waiting on the brackets for lights already installed.

Yet another new installation method for the light bar, maybe this one will make it available for purchase. I wasn't a fan of the glue-on method anyway since if you need to replace the windshield (it happens) then you're doubly screwed in having to scrape off the light bar and affix it yourself to a new windshield. A hard mount to the leading edge roof brackets, like many non-OEM solutions provide, makes a lot more sense to me. But I'm no Tesla engineer.

Thanks. Ya I haven’t been on here for a long while so I missed the warnings

Oh, it's still glued on, apparently. It just ALSO has brackets.

Just remembered someone saying Tesla was going back to tape. I know mine is secure with the glue and it was done the "new" way so they should be able to just install the brackets.

I get it. But the frustrating thing is the email says 12/7. Explicitly says no time on 12/7. That’s so vague and shady. I fault myself for procrastinating. I own that. But this is the shadiest stuff. Really sours me on Tesla. They literally took $2500 that I paid for.. sucks

There is a dispute resolution email address in your purchase agreement, give that a shot.
