So, went to go for a ride in my CT today and first thing I do is turn on the tunes. Well, to my disappointment, the only speakers that I can hear anything from is the front. All treble, no bass. The subwoofers aren't working as well as other speakers. Just a lot of treble music playing from the front dash speakers.

I did a soft and hard restart, did not work. Check equalizer and balance settings, everything is normal.

Please help. I am really hoping that one of you has experienced something like this and can help me. My service center is 2 hours away so that will be a pain in my @$$ if I have to take it in for service.

Any recommended fixes?

Make sure that Sentry and anything else that can keep the vehicle awake is turned off, then let it get a good night's sleep.

You can create the Service Ticket and see what they say. Doesn't mean that you have to visit.

Sentry not on and it got a great sleep last night. Seen a reddit thread about this but no true resolution.

I feel your pain, this happened to me with the last update. It was self resolved after a few hours later that evening. FWIW, I recommend leaving your CT alone with enough distance away from your phone key so it can self reboot. Best of luck.

Here is the thread I created from last time: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...sue-after-2024-20-7-update.19916/#post-357786
Just read your thread. That is crazy that it just started working again. Part of me just wants to wait until the next update and see if that fixes it. I'll do as you and @Woodrick said and stay away from the truck and not check on it on the app so it can sleep good.

Does your Cybertruck self reboot every night?

I believe it self shuts down/reboots after a certain amount of time if it does not detect a key in close proximity but I am unsure of the frequency.

I scheduled service for next available, Aug 27th (Ugh...). Hopefully this issue resolves itself before then. It is going to suck if I am without premium audio until then.

Holy crap! @Woodrick and @getsometom , you were both right. All my Cybertruck needed was a good night's sleep. I woke up this morning and suddenly all the speakers/subs were working and everything is back to normal.

That was so weird, but very happy CT can just fix itself sometime.

Thanks for the advice.

Happy to see it worked out for you! It is definitely strange occurrence especially since it happens to multiple people.

I'd like to add a point of clarification.

Teslas in general do not self reboot (at night or otherwise). The car "sleeps" which is a very low power mode. A Bluetooth key in close proximity or opening the Tesla App on your phone will "wake the car up".

Said all that to say that the concept is still the same, in that you turn of Bluetooth and don't load the Tesla app on your phone to allow it to "go to sleep" from inactivity. So the concept is the same.

The only way that a car reboots is:
A) software update
B) forced reboot while sitting inside of it
C) maybe Tesla can reboot them?

On the original subject:
I hope your truck's stereo starts working again and you don't have to drive 2 hrs for service. We had some similar things happen evey once in a while with our M3LR '21 and a reboot has always fixed it. This was early on though and the software is a lot more stable now.

Correct, but in the sleep mode it appears that it completely powers off many of the subsystems and that causes a shutdown and restart, which is even better than a reboot.

Agree with you. Proof is I did a hard (whole truck) and soft reboot (just screen) and it didn't remedy my problem.

The rear audio in my CT stopped working yesterday. Lucky I was at the service center for a different Tesla. They scheduled an appointment for me for the recalls and to replace the “VCREAR”. The advisor told me VCREAR popped up when scheduling my appointment. She said that might be the reason for the rear speakers not working. Speakers started working later the same day.
