I'm excited for FSD just like everyone. It is amazing on our M3LR.
I don't want it half baked though.
Also, this is just my opinion:
I was not misled about FSD and CT. It was clear to me the price I was paying and what I was getting. I don't think that entitles me to compensation. It was...
Please update us here when you get results.
The thought occurs to me to suggest reseting the infotainment computer by holding the two scroll wheels on the steering squircle until the screen goes black. Like a lot of Tesla's, I've experienced "gremlins" that solved themselves with a reset...
This is true for most accounts on the internet. But /r especially. I've been so much happier since I'm off of all social media, almost every forum and reddit.
All Scheduled departure time does is precondition the battery and start charging immediately to what ever limit you set regardless of if it is too early to time the departure correctly.
Have I been using this feature incorrectly for years?
Scheduling a departure doesn't do anything but pre-condition battery for driving by X time. Currently there is no way to have the computer start charging batter to be "ready" to go by X time. It seems insane that they don't have this. But I've been hoping for months that they do it since the...
This 100%. Limiting the amps in the app is prone to error and if you draw more, you risk a serious fire!
You should be able to log into the Wall Connector's Wifi radio and configure the charger. This will make it so that it won't over-current the electrical equipment that supplies it with...
This is correct. 48A is normal from a wall connector.
A service person should be able to see any error messages with the truck specific to charging (especially if your Supercharging trip doesn't yield results). Good luck!
Looks like it might be thermal runaway, but for some reason, I thought that was a bit more violent than what was pictured in the video. Obviously there is something wrong.
Opinion: Here's a couple of other 'hot takes' from me as someone who lives ~1hr from this situation.
Battery fires in...
Hi Coltpete, you will have an easier time getting the FSD update, if you are on the latest update. I've been testing FSD since 10.3 (which ever patch was the Safety Score patch) back on November of 2021. Latest version is always best!
As an interesting (perhaps) side note; in the past, if you...
Hi Killlbox, you can't "force" an update. But you can make sure you go to the software tab and set updates to Advanced instead of Standard. This tells Tesla update servers that you want your car/truck to get an update as soon as they deem available. I'm guessing you already did this, but some...
I do not have any coatings over cameras and no hydrophobic products applied to windshield and have not had issues with those areas of the vehicle being unprotected. I know I'm not answering the question you asked with this. But I'm hoping my experience with my '21 M3LR helps some. Good luck...
Tesla has access to literally millions of data points with respect to keeping batteries healthy. If they say 80%, that's what I'm doing. Unless you are going on a trip or something. We keep our cars at 80%. Battery degradation IS a thing. But following Tesla recommendations has never...
