I saw a new bumper light bar come out last month and decided to give it a try. It’s sold by a few different Tesla shops but looks like every one is from the same factory. Either way, it’s a quality light that matches the stock lights nicely and gives a cool new look.

The install was easy - it does require some disassembly of the frunk liner and a little bit on the passenger footwell. Included in the package are all the wires and harnesses that are plug and play with the stock connector.

One thing is it does stick out a little bit further forward than the stock plastic piece so it is a bit of a tight fit to hit the fronk switch.

Hey, can you check if you speaker above the connector on the inside makes a hissing sound now with it installed?

ahh didn’t notice my speaker making that slight hissing sound before. It seems to be present with and without any audio playing through that speaker. There must be some kind of interference.

I bought from Tylard. It comes with paper instructions but there are 2 video installs and they both are good and easy to follow.

I’d say the intensity matches the stock light strip on the outside of the main beams. No adjustment for brightness.

Not sure how much install would cost…it took me about an hour. I could probably install another one in under 30 mins now.

Do they have a fix for the speaker hiss yet? What if you wrapped that plug-in block piece in aluminum foil?
No fix as far as I know. I ended up taking the light off and going back to stock. It’s too bad because I do think it looked very cool but I’m not willing to sacrifice the complete silence of the cabin.

Hi, has this issue been confirmed by other users, or do we only know you've experienced this? I'm not doubting, just want to eliminate the possibility of a one-off problem.

My speaker was doing the exact same thing that ShockAuto brought to my attention. It’s definitely related to that little box as plugging in and unplugging it made the sound come and go.
It sounds like static from the speaker - faint but because the cabin is so quiet I could hear it. It’s present whether music is playing or not.

Perfect, ty for the that. I really like the look of the light but my OCD would also trigger lol. Now I get it...

Those look better than many of the other light bars.

Are you able to see each LED or is it similar to the CT’s bar with a light diffuser layer? It doesn’t look like you can see each LED from the pictures but I can’t tell if that’s due to the camera exposure.

It looks very similar to the stock Tesla light bar. The diffuser does a good job making it hard to see any individual LED.

One interesting function is during the light show the light bar would remain on the entire time despite the left headlight going on and off with the show.

I’ve had this lightbar installed for the past month, no hissing sounds here. And I’ve got three accessories leaching off that passenger side wire: this lightbar, my C9 CarPlay screen, and the starlight ambient roof light.

haven’t gotten around to finishing my review. The install was heavily involved, and I frankly can’t notice a difference in luminosity with it (from memory); I’d have to record a test with it on and again with it covered in tape to see if it’s actually worth the time, effort and cost. Also yea, my frunk button is twice as hard to push.
