Looks like an awesome solve for short supercharger cable woes:

Superchargers are liquid-cooled; these are not. It seems inevitable that using these extensions will result in long charging sessions. So yes, you can reach the charge port, but it's going to be a loooong charging session.

" When elevated temperatures are detected, both the power provided by the NACS DC chargers and the power requested by the vehicle are reduced accordingly. This dynamic power adjustment effectively mitigates the risk of overheating and minimizes the potential for fire hazards. "

The gauge of the wiring and the insulation is rated for 350 A or higher. They are meant to be at close to parity with the supercharging cables. They literally identify that it functions to allow for charging at nearly the same rates as without the extension cable in extensive real-world testing.

I hear you, I read the same specs. I guess, for anyone who truely needs one, buy it, test it and if it sucks, then return it. However, if it works, then you've struck gold.

I pull a 5200 lb travel trailer on average 150 miles weekly around the country for 1.6 years now. Have had to drop the trailer only 5-6 times. Dropping trailer is < 5min especially with Cybertruck adjustable suspension. Less is often more.

Hooray! if that actually works and it’s safe. And…of course, if Tesla lets it happen.
They took the flyswatter to EVJECT (awesome company btw) pretty hard.
What makes us think they won’t do the same to this type of product?

If that’s your case in point…I just purchased EVject’s last week for all our Teslas. They’re back in stock and shipping.

It isn’t the entirety of my case in point. They shipped me a new one too, but it took them forever to get past the ludicrous obstacles Tesla laid down for them. Actually kind of curious for it to get here so I can compare the version 2 to my originals.
I’m not saying it’s impossible, I’m just saying EVJECT is a great example of how you can’t do this without the green light from them.

absolutely and unequivocally no. Never connect any device to a supercharger like this.

If I see it in the wild, I absolutely will report it to Tesla immediately and request they ban the user for TOU Violation. You could end up disabling or destroying critical charging infrastructure for thousands of others, as that cable is absolutely forbidden to be connected to any Tesla supercharger.

Tell us how you REALLY feel. ?
Seriously though, I mostly agree with that.

lol. these dangerous accessories will become an increasing problem as more people adopt EVs. because they either ignore the dangers, or simply don't care about the fallout they cause to others.

350,000 watts flowing through a handheld cable is no joke.

The culture of EV ownership has definitely changed since the early days. Remember how sacrilegious it used to be to leave a non-charging car in an EV spot? Nobody seems to give a F$£k now and as far as charging while towing, the slots that work are invariably occupied by some stoned teenager in a model 3 without a care in the world even though every single other spot is open. ?
There is also very little free juice like there was back then.

The cable is UL rated and the connector is pending.
