Cheaper than the Foundation Series up charge.
Not if you count the Foundation Series extras. As an example, the range extender is priced at $16K. How much extra range is worthwhile at what price, weight and space penalty?

Ask the people who want the range extender.
Oh, you rang? I’m giving up a third of the bed which isn’t making me super happy but if I do that and I still only get some BS number like 430 miles then it’s a nonstarter. We already know supposedly that is not going to be a total of 500. I don’t know what it’s going to do to my 0 to 60. It’s basically vaporware at this point and yes I’m not sure that it’s ultimately going to be a fair trade-off.

As we learned from Munro there is space in my battery compartment in the truck already! Just do like GMC and stick it down there where it belong. 200 kWh of it, if necessary.

The costs are more than just the price of the batteries. And that's not even remarkably cheap. We were promised under $100/kWh a decade ago. Though you would pay more for an already expensive vehicle you also pay in weight, size, efficiency and cargo capacity.
That's the bottom line. I don't want my Cybertruck crippled with a big battery like the Silverado has. People can talk about future price/weight improvements all they want, but we have to choose based upon what we have now.

I don't deny they are are a few people who would be well served with more range (even with the weight and cost penalty) but there are many more who just think they want more range. If I've learned one thing in life it's that most people want things they know little about. They just don't want to err on the side of choosing too little and, since they don't have a clue what will actually serve them the best, they want the most they can get. Because they also don't understand the tradeoffs of getting the most they can get.

Don't be so excited, you will get it when Elon decides you are ready for it. You know how long it took to get the Cybertruck in the first place. ?
