Thank you!

I think I’m just going to start with tint, and go from there. I personally like the stainless look, but have seen some really nice wraps. I have a problem truly committing to any color, though, a dark matte navy has been on my mind.

Could not recommend TintPros enough for the wrap and tint. They've done the most in the cities and the owner drives a cybertruck. He has a carbon fiber ppf wrap on it and it looks pretty cool. Keep us posted when you get it! Still not a ton of them in MN and I still get super excited when I see someone else driving one.

Welcome to the area! We’ve been looking for someone to do windshield tinting. How much did you all pay? The lowest price I’ve seen so far is $699.

Genuinely curious. With all the recent change in sentiment what made you still want to get the CT?

(Apologizes for the length of text in advance)

While the public’s sentiment has changed on Tesla, the sentiment around the Cybertruck has always been one of polarization. People loved or hated it, regardless of anything going on in the world.

This was something I’ve had my sights on since the announcement in 2019, and had a very early reservation # for. Most of the folks that know me, know I’ve always loved vehicles since my younger years. Whenever my mom would bring us to the Mall of America, I’d have to go sit in the Dodge Viper at the Chrysler/Dodge showroom they had in there. The other vehicle I always coveted was the original H1 Hummer. I see the Cybertruck in similar light to the Hummer, with its brutalist design. This really is satisfying 7-15 year old me that would’ve been in awe seeing this vehicle on the road, and wishing I could own one. Worth noting my kids are getting older, and my Model 3 is showing its size limitations, and while the refreshed Model Y is attractive, the Cybertruck will allow for more flexibility on trips to the cabin for cargo - and hauling a camper in the future.

This purchase has also taken on new meaning, as I was laid off at the beginning of October. I worked my ass off all year, blew my goals out of the water and was on track to achieve the thing I’d set out to have, 5 years prior. I survived the layoff, with a good amount of what I set aside for the truck, and landed a job that has firmly put me ahead of where I was when I was laid off.

People may want to make it about something else, or assume things of me - Elon or just hating the look/concept of the truck - and that’s ok. Those who know me, know my character, and know this is something I’ve wanted/have been working towards.

This really isn’t about anyone, or anything but me, and something I worked hard to give to myself.

Just windshield?

Sxksxk recommended TintPros, and I’m seeing their price as much less, based on which type of film (on their online booking tool). I’m planning on just doing the front 2 side windows, which seem to be fairly priced there as well.

Hi all, just in case there are some new CT owners here in MN thought i would bring this thread to the top. Yesterday I drove by a house in Rosemount that had two CTs in the driveway which was kinda interesting.

It was nice to park next to another CT in Woodbury last week. I have seen so few in Minneosta that I probably was more excited than I should have been. The last CT I drove past and we both gave each other the finger. The new CT wave, I guess!

Yeah I rarely see them in MN despite being in a rather affluent suburb.

I still get inappropriately excited when I see another CT. Other owners probably think I'm weird.

I was just over in the same area for an appt last week, granted I’m based in Woodbury. Dropping my temp registration tag today, so I can’t claim it was me.

I like the idea of mutual middle fingers. Averaging about 1 per trip lately from others, may as well be a nice tongue-in-cheek with a fellow CT owner. Feels like since I got mine I have only seen one other, out and about.

I see another from time to time in central MN. The MN thing to do is a CT fishing contest where we all tow to the same lake.

Marine on St. Croix (on Sand Lake). I see a CT at least once or twice a week now. It's great because I was feeling pretty alone since May last year.
