Geminis analsys:
"The KM3 is engineered for maximum off-road traction in tough conditions like mud and deep sand, acting like a "purpose-built pro wrestler" in extreme environments. The KO3, on the other hand, is designed as a versatile "do-it-all" all-terrain tire that balances off-road capability with excellent on-road manners. For dedicated sand driving, the KM3's ability to dig and clear sand from the tread makes it more effective. However, for a vehicle that sees significant on-road use with occasional sand driving, the KO3 offers a better balance of performance and comfort. Proper technique, such as airing down your tires, is essential for driving on sand with either option to increase the tire's footprint and floatation."
vs Wrangler
"For pure sand driving capability, the
BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3
offers the most aggressive, specialized tread. The
Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac RT
comes in a close second, offering excellent off-road traction in sand and mud with a hybrid design that still allows for good on-road performance. The
BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3
is best suited if on-road comfort, wet pavement grip, and tread life are a higher priority than specialized deep-sand performance."
Summary
Multi faceted off and on road, KO3
Multi faceted but more off road, Wrangler
More off road and especially, sand, dune running KM3 (my case)

adding vs the Grappler and final AI analysis table, love it

for my use case, KM3 still the best for deep sand, which I experience during hot August

BUT

best all around, seems the Grappler
btw, running in 8" plus of snow recently, the Wrangler was amazing

Anyone have any experience with Falken Wildpeak AT4W or AT3W’s? I had these on my Ram 1500 and loved them before I got my Cybertruck. I was thinking of putting them on when I need to replace the OEM tires.

432Wh/mi at highway speeds on your Duratracs! Wow, I wish mine could do that well. I get 505Wh/mi.

I'm case anyone is curious, I just did a rough dry fit of my Tesla Konig snow chains and it seems to fit. Although with the new tires being so grippy it's difficult to get them on. Hopefully I'll never need them, but just in case California does R3 chain control, I wanted to make sure they still fit.

I’ve been running the BFG KO3 as well. I also use ceramic balancing beads instead of wheel weights. Noticeably smoother at highway speeds.
So how do you get those beads? Are they expensive? You really noticed a smoothness difference just from those?

I expect the range to be less, I was just surprised by this one short trip. I don't worry since there are so many superchargers, but I really wish we had the original 500 miles of range. Thanks for your feedback!
You and me both. If the battery tech could get us that 500 mile range, I could sell my diesel 3/4 ton truck. I have many scenarios I encounter where 500 miles epa range vs 300 ish epa range is the difference between being able to use the CT vs the diesel. Also numerous instances of inconvenience due to limited real world fast highway range with additional range reducing environmental factors.
I still love the truck, but this one spec change could make it functionally near perfect.

I'm probably not measuring this correctly and I never did this when I originally got the truck, but here's the height in extract mode, front and back:

Anyone know if the foam in the Goodyear tires comes out easily when they take the tire off the rim? I saw a bunch of it fall out when they were taking the tires away. Might be kinda hard to see in this picture but it's like a strip of foam with a hole in it.

I had vibration issues and took it to Good Year at 10k miles and found that the foam front left tire came loose and was in a ball . Shop manager 40 years experience stated never seen anything like this before usually sound proofing is incorporated in the tire belt.

I have those on mine and love the tire. very tough for my harsh driveway and mud slides on the roads to Ukiah. does well with off roading in Utah and around California. lost a little range. they have a lot of meat on the bone.

How do the beads work with the sound dampening foam? Do they still get to where they need to get?

Really don’t have any experience with this because I’m ruining the BFG KO3, but they would settle into the foam area and make become imbedded. They need to fly freely inside the tire to perform there function.
