I got pulled over once. The cop made it clear I wasn’t driving too fast and wasn’t going to get a ticket, he was just “concerned” about the truck (no idea what that means).

He was “concerned” he didn’t know what the inside looked like.
You know, this way if a real crime was ever committed in one he’d know what to expect when he pulled it over.

I wasn’t actually pulled over. I went to check on my teenage niece after she had an incident with a hay bale. 3 of the 4 talked to me about the CT while the 4th wrote the report. As I left the State Trooper, the 4th car in the line, stood and watched while yelling “Get on it!”

My father in law got pulled over in our model x several years ago for going too slow on I-10 if you can believe that.
We still make fun of him but bless his heart he was just worried about driving a car he wasn’t too familiar with and with my son in the car.
The jerk cop actually wrote him a ticket for it.
At the time, the car was very new and people would still stop to gawk at the falcon wing doors.

Reminds me of my standard answer when ANYBODY asks me “how fast have you had it up to” when I’m in any of my fast cars: vette, plaid, cb …

Normally I'd agree with you on this - except in this scenario it was literally the officer asking him to do it. For legal purposes, I'm going to have to consider that a lawful command that he has to obey.
