CT always changes the speed. If I set it at 75 mph and speed limit is 65, it changes to standard and next thing you know it slows down to 65. Then I roll up the scroll wheel it jumps right to 84 max then you have to roll it down to 75. Even worse if I'm driving 55 mph and want to slow down when I roll the scroll wheel down it starts at 84 mph, and you have to roll and roll. They need to do an update if your set at 55 and want to increase it to 58 you should only have to roll it 3 clicks same with slowing down. get rid of all this relative and absolute and off set and make it simple. I get it if there is a lot of traffic and it slows to be safe yes! But not on an open Hwy.

It’s been a learning curve for me for sure. Week and half driving my new CT. The 40% FSD speed offset Tesla recommends is insane. I had it on 15% the past few days and it was still too fast. Today I set it to 10% max offset on FSD and it’s finally going how I want it to. 40% offset I was messing with the scroll wheel way too much. And it’s way too fast for my liking. When I want to go fast fast I take my Porsche to the very few back country hills we have in Florida at 6am on Saturday or Sunday.

Agreed. I’ve stopped using FSD because of the inability to DIRECTLY control the speed. I tried again tonight with my MS and it kept going 5+ under the speed limit.

I just started to use the FSD, and I have played with the Chill, Standard and Hurry.
I like the FSD, but as everyone has mentioned the speed control really sucks.

I have noticed that my Cybertruck often has the speed limit wrong, sometimes 10 to 20 mph lower than the posted limit. I've never seen it think the speed limit was higher than the posted limit. I thought it read speed limit signs, but that doesn't appear to be the case. If it's going too slow, you can step on the accelerator and it will generally hold that speed even if it's well above the speed limit, provided it's still below the max speed which is adjusted with the right scroll wheel.

Just read a post on Facebook. CT with FSD ran through a red light because the car in front broke the red light too even though the screen could see the red light, FSD didn’t stop. Pretty Scary. Has this happened to any of you guys?

That just happened to me. i was driving next to a car while I was on the FSD i was slowing down and the car that was next to me ran the red light; the instant the car ran the red light my FSD disconnected and alerted me

I've been using a 20% offset for years on my 2018 Model 3; and so I used that for my CT. The idea is, I like to drive 8-10mph above the speed limit. It's fast enough that I don't slow traffic, and it's slow enough that I don't draw attention from the police.

Anyhow, like many of you, FSD doesn't want to drive the speeds I like, it likes to drift slower. If cars creep up behind me, it seems to speed up.

So, a few weeks ago, I tried 40% offset, and guess what, it seems to work better!?!? What? It doesn't drive 40% faster than the speed limit. It drives about 8-10mph above the speed limit, exactly how I like it. Odd. Why? Dunno.

Wait, really? I use a 20% offset as well, and am used to goosing it now and then to get it to the speed I expect. Guess I need to put it back to the default 40%!
