Video is below
I was coming home from store down my normal road using solely FSD. Then out of no where the truck veers left into the oncoming lane. No one was there but the Tesla vision detected there was a deceased animal in the road nothing large but still avoided it without me doing anything. I seriously doubt USS “would” Have detected this. Another serious win for for Tesla!!

If that was a tree limb or backpack of similar size it’s good to know it actually might avoid it. And this is in the middle of the night not even a day time occurrence.

I've noticed it's also been slowing for speed bumps in parking lots lately. It didn't used to do that IIRC, though it wasn't the same parking lot. I doubt they're geocoding speed bumps, though, so I'm going to assume it was camera detection.

Not sure how consistent it is, but it's nice to see it trying. I've also had it avoid raccoons running across the dark road in front of me but the same version hits the same pothole near me every time . 🤷‍♂️

It's come a long way. My first test with standard Autopilot, five years ago, was turning it on during the onramp to the expressway and it completely ignoring a full size deer carcass in the middle of the lane.

Had to manually disengage and swerve to avoid it.

Hmm, this goes against a recent viral video of FSD in Model Y running over a steel ramp in daylight….causing significant damage to the underbody and suspension.

Glad it’s learning! Mine seems to prefer plowing over anything in its lane lol
Speaking of plowing over roadkill, apparently, I ran over a dead bird and this claw is stuck on my rear fender lol
