I haven't had to drive in what seems like months now .

And FSD isn't supposed to know the difference between a visitor and residents lane. And even if it did, it would have to know if it was a resident or visitor to pick the right one.
All it really needs is a "do what I do here next time" button, and the ability to individually clear such saved information if it turns out to not be useful. That should be such that it could handle specific lanes where needed or maybe even reserved parking spots if it could find them again.

Edit: or just a voice command "remember {lane, speed, parking spot} here", which brings up something on the screen to end the remembering session.

Sometimes I get the feeling that the training data for FSD with the CT was gathered from highly distracted drivers.

I wish I could share that experience. My FS CT with FSD 13.2.8 drive me from Houston to NOLA and back last week. Multiple interventions in each direction, mostly because it was drifting over yellow lines and coming way too close to concrete retainer walls at 70-75mph. I would call its lane centering a low priority, and certainly not precision driving. Driving my wife's MY with FSD 13.2.8 from Houston to Austin is a different story, with zero intervention needed. I am going to try a 'recalibrate' on the truck's cameras and see if that makes any difference. But no way I would consider FSD ready for prime time (ie, unsupervised) driving yet
So I have found that tiny bit of constant pressure on the wheel will recenter it, dont disengage the FSD by pulling to hard. Also look at the visualization of the truck and lines, it will show the truck very close to the lines, this means it knows where it is, and is intentionally driving there, and doesā€˜t need a recalibration. If the visualization show it perfecty centered, and isn’t, then it needs recalibration.

Good point. And the visualization does show the truck on the yellow line

There have been times on empty two lane roads where it straddled the white dashed line as it changed lanes, almost as if it changed its mind while changing lanes then decided to continue after a few seconds. Maybe it is waiting for a little more feedback from the driver?

FSD still makes absurd navigational errors sometimes though; such as ignoring its own turn signal and going the complete opposite direction than I need to go. This happens when I allow FSD to start from parked and turn out of my driveway.
100%!!! The map will show it is supposed to make a right turn out of the driveway and makes a left turn....to a dead end! That is a HUGE bug. The GPS is showing it has to make a right...but goes left?!

I laughed, but it is not funny because it is most likely true. :(
