Shit happens. If ct gets stuck in that spot, so will a ford
Might be more like if a newbie off-road driver gets stuck in that spot in a CT, a newbie off-road driver will also get stuck in a Ford.

To be fair, plenty easy to get stuck and unable to get up a snowy hill like that.

But as an old-timer, I still gotta get my digs in: I have driven steeper on my dino-burning garden tractor with smaller wheels, turf tires, no traction control, and an open diff front axle, uphill, 5 miles, both ways in a blizzard. (trick is to run about 8-10 psi in the winter)

Most amazing thing is that the video of that RC got loose out of Tesla's control. The employee should have bought that video from the person on the spot with as much cash as they had on them and expensed it as "gifts to natives".

Cybertruck needs accessory front-mounted 48-volt winch.

Maxwell is boosting it up with its new winches with 48V DC motors!
Boat owners not only want reliable, long-lasting gear on their boat, they want style and innovation as well, and with the introduction of the 48V range, Maxwell delivers!
This means that your 48V house bank system can now operate both your VETUS BOW PRO thruster and your Maxwell windlass without the need for additional 12V or 24V batteries up front.

Wrong tires

Like @Crissa said, All Season and All Terrain tires are NOT snow tires.

Here in New England, snow tires should be considered mandatory. Even Jeeps fly off the roads in snow. But I’m always amazed at what a two wheel drive car can do with proper snow tires!

An old saying from my Jeep friends:

Four wheel drive means getting stuck in a more inaccessible location.

Edit: Was told that in the early 1970s, and that saying is older than I have been alive.

It appears that CT isn't shod with the all terrain tires.

I've watched enough of Matt's Off Road Recovery to know that no OEM truck is truly off-road capable. Also, even modified vehicles can get stuck and require recovery.

Yup agreed with everyone's analysis so far... clearly the CT driver needed to pick up a set of these:

Too bad the mainstream media is going to eat that up and forget to mention everything said so far in this thread.
yup yup wrong shoes for the snow. Put on those snow tires grandpa got tucked away in the dungeon he calls a basement. The same basement you spent half the summer cleaning up, just to get $10 (1987).

I wonder if Tesla added the chains as an option because of that incident with the RC truck.
Does Tesla offer a recovery strap option as well? That is another thing you should have in your truck if off-roading, or just generally in the winter.

I posted this here not just to be a troll. This class of vehicle may be new to CT buyers. There are lots of lessons already learned in the history of trucks, and off-roading, (and towing, and securing cargo, and other truck things).

I don't understand why people insist on having the air suspension set to high and think this will help.

Just like in the hill climb the suspension is under high pressure and is unyielding, which means it's basicily stuck on two wheels, and is lifting it's own tyres up off the ground. Lets the air suspension down, and the tyres a bit, and try it again. Otherwise it's those pesky huge front and rear roll stabiliser that needs a quick disconnect.
