i disagree. What we were buying and what we received is not even close to the same thing. I ordered tri motor $69k which I believe would have qualified for Tax deduction. Instead received unfinished product with many issues 4 plus year later at a cost of $30,000 more. For example as the cost of the production increased perhaps there should have bene updates. ie: Cybertruck will now cost $10,000 more then originally planned etc. But that didn't happen because Tesla wanted to keep the perception of 2 million on order. I knew because of production Tesla could not have worked through the list that quickly. All in all. I believe thread originator is correct. SC for life of ownership is not unreasonable and even fare. After all I did vote to give elon the 56B pay package....Come on elon. Mine Replaced tonneau, and other items we have in most part gone through as early adopters. Elon let's do the right thing here.....it has happened enough times with new models that majority of buyers will now stay away until the kinks have been worked out.
I understand your frustration, I overpaid for a FS as well. However, you didn’t order a $69k beast. You placed a refundable $100 deposit 4 years ago. When you finally placed the ORDER, you knew what you were buying and the price of it. You didn’t have to buy it, and maybe should not have. And No vehicle is perfect, especially a first model year. Things will go wrong.

I would encourage you to not let these missed incentives ruin your day. Life is too short. Remember why you wanted the truck so bad… Then go Drive your truck, have fun, take your kids / family / friends fishing, camping, off-roading, etc. Laugh, take pictures, make memories, and have fun. I know I overpaid for what I got, but I wouldn’t trade all the fun memories it has made for me and my kids to get that money back!

Ehhh youre confusing what you “preordered” for what you “bought” in the first part of your post. No one forced you to click order, pay an order fee, sign all the documents, then pick up the truck. All of what you were being offered was made clear to you before you did all of that. Your $100 pre order was fully refundable right up until you took delivery. Tesla changes incentives all the time. First CB purchases got fully free power share equipment plus $ toward install, that changed very quickly to just $2500 credit toward a single store purchase, then that also changed to a $2500 gift card that didnt have to be used all at once.

tesla is a capitalist company whose only responsibility is to its shareholders to generate profit and grow, they do this by selling products.

They owe you nothing.

It's pathetic to see adults begging for free supercharging after deciding to buy the truck early as-is with a full warranty to take care of any issues. Tesla owes us nothing more than what the deal was when we decided to buy and pulled the trigger. You decided to be an early adopter instead of waiting for Tesla to add more incentive. This is akin to trying to have your cake and eat it too.

Next year when Tesla lowers the price we'll get a fresh round of cry baby posts wanting a partial refund ??

I order my CT back in 2019 and took delivery of the FS when it my turn this past Spring... waited many months to get FSD, wheel covers, etc. It's just disappointing that if I would have bought now, I'd get free lifetime supercharging.

Does anyone know how we can start petitioning Tesla to provide us early adopters with the same supercharging benefit?
I would sign

What about adults who criticize other adults so vehemently for their different point of view?

Personally I'd love some free supercharging. Even tho most of us know that ain't gonna happen, doesn't mean I'm gonna poop on the dreamers' parade.

I am in for sure . Took ownership in November . Given 3 months free supercharging . Think waiting a month or 2 would have been a better move …3 months to lifetime is a big difference …

I think of lifetime as ‘how many years will I will own the car’

I will probably have moved on to another 4-5 cars by time I die.. ??

but if I absolutely knew with certain CyberTruck would be in my possession till my final days (or Tesla for that matter) then this would be top of my list… I don’t drive much daily.

I think the overall take-rate for this will be low, hence them offering it now, to hopefully garner a few more sales..
