I have a question for you: HOW IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS HOLY DID YOU MANAGE TO UNPLUG THE GPS ANTENNA CONNECTOR!!?!?

I literally spent the better part of an hour pulling, prodding, twisting, cursing and finally surrendering to that goddamn little blue connector. It got to the point that I thought I would snap the socket off the board, and would be without nav until replaced. (Yes, I did lift the little white tab.). That stupid connector held on better than the cantrails.

Funny note, the GPS board would not reinstall, so I took a closer look at the screw, which was still holding on to the threaded insert:

It fractured the plastic on the glare shield when I loosened the screw, and I did NOT use excessive force. It just snapped right off.

The screw was set at the factory with Loctite blue, which I had to mostly scrape away to reinstall it.

You can also see where the slot cracked around the hole, and this is after only performing a R&R twice.

That glare shield is extremely brittle plastic. At least I didn't break the new one

I had a white plastic lock tab on the Blue GPS connection. Slid that back then squeezed to release it.
Transferring the GPS to a new glare shield I used a smaller torx driver to break that screw free but did not have any thread lock on mine.

That’s wild it did that. I do not like the plastic used on this.
